How could he wrestle when Cortez stopped the action every time Hatton got into punching range? Floyd was doing the holding in the first four rounds and there wasn't much holding even happening after that. As for listening to the commentators, the HBO guys have always criticised Hatton very strongly for holding, so it was a little bit suprising to hear them saying that Floyd was doing more holding. Even Harold Lederman said that Floyd was instigating the holding. JIM!

There you go listening to the commentators again Lederman also had Hatton winning the fight I believe up until the 7th so that's a bad example. Regardless Floyd did something that all you Hatton fan's said was out of the question.

Watch the press conference, Hatton was very good humoured and graceful in defeat (and Floyd was very classy in victory to be fair). He gave Floyd his props as the best pound for pound fighter on the planet and said he proved again what a great champion he is.

As far as the more natural welterweight comment goes, I just took it as Hatton meaning Floyd was a lot bigger and stronger than he expected. He thought he would be able to outmuscle him the same as he does to his opponents at jr welterweight, but Floyd was physically the more powerful man, much like Collazo was when he previously stepped up to 147.

I think it's very crass to be calling either fighter a "lil *****" after that. Hatton took the fight to Floyd like he promised he would, and while he didn't have the skill to beat Floyd, it certainly wasn't for lack of trying. And Floyd proved once again that he's the best fighter of his generation by knocking out a tough opponent with a masterful display of boxing.

Floyd and Ricky settled their differences in the ring and were very respectful to each other after the event, I think their fans should do the same.

Do you not realize that Mayweather was a huge 130 pound fighter that had to move up cause it was killing him to make weight....when did floyd go to middleweight?


Floyd was clearly the bigger fighter and he is a bonofide welterweight. **** he can even move up he hardly has any fat. Let him ballon in weight and he would be forced to fight the remaining years at middleweight.
