They were a disgrace only because they didn't trash the joint and lynch Joe Cortez.

Booing national anthems is a well known English trait.

Your point about Irish fans supporting Hatton & booing the American national anthem doesn't make any sense. There could have been Chinese fans in Hatton's crowd, so does that mean the Chinese are all a disgrace?

One thing I can guarentee is that the people booing were all English, regardless of whether there were Welsh, Scottish or Irish fans there too.

      You have completely lost me.

      You just keep contradicting yourself.

Are you trying to tell me that english fans are the only ones in the uk who boo other countrys at sporting events? If so thats ****in nonsense. I was booing oliver mccall to **** from ringside at wembley!

I kinda knew they would boo the national anthem just by the way they were acting before it, also, it was funny and kinda ****ed up how the singer of the anthem had to stop in the beginning, he was shocked at what he was hearing.

The thing that got me more than the booing was that the booing was a lot louder than the few 'patriotic' americans singing their anthem when the brits where singing our national anthem before it even started!

Still not an excuse for booing a national anthem, but I still think the americans should have tried a little harder at the time instead of complaining

What other country would boo the U.S. anthem in a boxing match? Would Mexicans do that? The French? Iran?

So because we arent happy that they booed our national anthem, we should blast all of the English boxing fans and name call? Come on. It was a heated night and the crowds over there get into it more then ours do. I dont see it as a disrespect to our country, so much as backing there own. I didnt like it either, but I dont think it was ment to be such a disrespectful thing. I still like British fans.

Thats true that mate seriously, most English people have respect and the boxing fans in the crowd would not have booed any national anthem.
