mau fau....I can see your logic regarding the Cotto beating Mayweather, I had it a draw,,but clearly 9th and 10th were mosly rounds,,,which it appears to me that you had Mosley winning those rounds too.

My main point is that Cotto would clearly be the best fighter Mayweather fought at Welterweight, but unless his power overwhelms Mayweather (which I do not see happening) his style is perfect for Mayweather...Perfect. He does not apply relentless pressure as would have been Hatton only chance...He applys pressure via punching, which vs most fighters is the best way,,,That is what makes Cotto so entertaining and such a feared fighter, but vs Mayweather razor quick counters, which includes left hook leads and right leads,,then Mayweathr getting out of there with lateral movement or avoiding counters by employing eithe the shoulder roll or his very effective style of lunging down towards the canvass out of harms way like sweat pea would do. It may seem awkward but it works.....

All night long Cotto would catch shots from Mayweather as he came in behind his very good jab....That would be the one thing he has working for him...However, we all know that Mayweathers training is the best ever...and if anyone would come in prepared for the Cotto surprisingly accurate and fast jab..it will be Mayweather.....

Cotto would have to fight like duran did in Monteal or like Hatton did the first 3-4 rounds with more body work,,and not allow him self or Mayweather punching distance..cuz Cotto is quick, but not like Mayweahter and if Mayweather gets punching range...its a long night for Cotto. He will have to smother Mayweather, and thus this will nullify much of his effectivness tooo. That is why it is not a great match up for Cotto

I want this fight to happen because I'm tired of the transparent Cotto Fans.
You saw his fights. You think that is gonna beat floyd. You ask any pro and he'll tell you that a come forward fighter is gonna get countered all night............and agains't someone like Floyd. He'll get knocked out.

Floyd in 6. I'm not sure Cotto can take 20 clean (counter) punches to the dome....

if mayweatehr fought cotto and beat him no one could criticize him or his legacy. he has yet to face a prime fighter in his natural weight class so i would give him credit for beating cotto not hatton who didnt even belong at welterweight and all the real boxing fans know this.
He started at 130 and bulked up to get to 147, which he weighs in at fight time, unlike some people who put on 10-15 pounds.

Chill out Miguel, youth is on your side. Retire old DLH for a huge payday, then come back and fight Floyd for MORE money than you could now.

Let him fight another title holder than I will agree.

I would like to see it to. I like Cotto actually. He comes forward blasting away, and it doesn't hurt that he took the time to learn Englesio.

Haters of Mayweather are blinded by vengance and keep sending in soldiers to their deaths.

Its like Vietnam......... You're fighting a loosing battle......Cotto is not the one.

Floyd vs. Miguel is a tough call. Cotto's only chance is by KO. Mayweather will win by decision. I think Cotto has mature enough to battle with Floyd for 8 rounds and weaken Floyd enough to get a KO. Then again, if Cotto is not able to adapt during the fight and doesn't make changes in his strategy by not reapeating the same rythm, Floyd will have a party out pointing Cotto for 12 rounds...

To come back and immediately fight Cotto. Mayweather will lose.

Cotto vs Mayweather after a warm up. Cotto has a decent chance of winning but I see Mayweather pulling a UD.
