Cotto Not Pleased With Mayweather's "Vacation"

Help me understand... Are we suggesting that Mayweather is not figting everyone? Corrales, Castillo, hernandez, Gotti, Judah, Baldimir, Dlh, now Hatton...... No matter who he faces, there will be someone he doesnt.

I agree he should fight Cotto, I strongly believe he will, but lets understand that Mayweather is now the man in boxing, He does not have to chase fights or fighters, and he has earned the right to force a fighter to do what he has had to do before making a huge huge payday. That being said, we the fans also deserve the right to see the best 2 Welterweights in the business. I think that Mayweather will make this fight, not so sure about Williams.

I dont think outside of Mosley or DLH that you can find a fighter who has faced the amount of top fightes that Maywether has. lets give the man his credit, he is always getting in the ring with the best out there. They said he would never face a top Welter he then signs to fight Judah,,,they say he was a punk for fighting the loser of the judah baldomir fight,,,so what does he do, He fights Baldomir,,,,they say he is still avoind top fighters..he moves up and fights DLH at 154 (When DlH could have met him at 147, but no Dlh tried to stack the deck, weigt, ring size, gloves,,,cinco de maya...etc) he beats him,,,he wants to fight Mosley,,,but mosley at the time says he has a tooth injury...so he fights Hatton, beats him....now they are saying he is scared of Cotto...Cotto will get DEMOLISHED,,,he is perfectly made for Mayweather...he applies pressure and can box, but he is on the outside attempting to jab his way in,,,allowing time ...PRECIOUS TIME.. for him to get caught by those counters...Sorry but the very strength that Cotto has over Hatton will be the thing that makes this fight even easier for Mayweather...Cotto can box and has a good jab,,,but when he is trying to follow the same script as he did vs Mosle, he will be catching counters..right leads and left hooks....and we know Cotto has been hurt several times....so i see a brutal beating if he fights Mayweather.....

WBPINK, Still, Hatton and Baldomir got big asterisks next to Floyd's record, no matter what you say. The other fights are very impressive, the other two are uggly unremovable stains.

Baldimor I agree was garbage,,but he was the champion..and if you remember Mayweather was given public grief for fighting judah and not baldimor, so he righted that issue and by beating Baldimor who..was the champion..So was Mayweather not to fight for the belt? I am having a hard time understanding what the point, is...here.

2ndly the public, the media etc..has always been calling for Hatton Mayweather, and hatton called for it himself..Mayweather simply answered him...Now Cotto I agree is a fight that needs to be made. but Cotto will get his ass handed to him..EARLY....He has no chance at beating a prime Mayweather.

I wonder if people understand the intense training and the quality of sparring that goes on in Mayweathers camp, and if they understand that Mayweather fights fighters in traning 3 in a row...10 minute rounds..where these fighters are bigger stornger, more aggressive, foul hold, hit, hit low,,,spit..etc...everything......So when he is in there with a hatton or a Cotto it is easier than what he is facing in Traning.......

Cotto vs Money May!

Can Cotto defeat Mayweather? Yes he can! However The chances are very slim. Cotto brings a lot 2 the table but, incomparison 2 Flyodd Mayweather it just not enough. Money May is the whole package, more speed, defends, smarts, jabs and what people dont want 2 give him any credit 4 is his punching power. Yes Cotto may have more power then Money May but thats all. Ok, still, back then... he did not fight Cotto, Floyd should had won. But this was the year for him to fight Cotto. Still he says "no money on Cotto". That's bull****. What sold his last fight was his name, not Hatton's. A fight agaisnt Cotto would had bring out more respect for him. His business with Arum is another ****ing excuse. There is already alot of money on the line with a fight with cotto by Summer. Mayweather could had answer Merchant; "I am going to take a year off, then I see who is out there worth the money, if it is Cotto, so it be Cotto next. Until then I need to take a break from boxing and concentrate in my new found business." Instead he dodged to comment twice, even when Merachant told him experts saw this fight as a way for Floyd to secure a legacy if he stays undefeated. The Hatton fight doesn't mean ****, just like the one agasint Baldomir. Floyd was way superior to both fighters as he showed agaisnt Judah and Oscar de La Hoya. No matter how you look at it, would not say duck, both he sures knows how to dodge a public bullet.

I respect that, but come on now its only one day after he fought(give it time). IMHO I think he will take this fight. He is getting VERY money hungry and around the summer or fall of next year this fight will go down.
