It depends on the fashion upon which it is done, but I couldnt argue with anyone claiming Ricky as p4p #1.

        How hilarious would that be?

Ricky is a little crude and limited, but at p4p #1 that would be hilarious. He is a good fighter but he does not fit the status quo as p4p champs. lol lol

Well if he beats Floyd, his style doesnt matter at all.
But it will definity be a p4p change of pace.

          Hopkins

Hopkins was never really the best fighter in the world.

Then again, Cotto Williams and Marg all have decent enough shots against Floyd too.

Absolutely not. Informed observers are picking Hatton because he has the stylistic potential to win, not because he is the better fighter.

I've found it irresponsible and childish the way the British press has suggested over and over that Hatton will instantly become P4P #1 should he win against Mayweather. It's silly and impossible.

If he wins he should be in the top 3
but not first imo yet. If he would fight Cotto after and win then yes p4p #1

Pacquiao would probably be #1 and Calzaghe #2, though this could flip-flop.
