De La Hoya Stand Firm on Hatton Winning

Oscar De La Hoya is standing firm on his prediction that Ricky Hatton will upset Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. De La Hoya has mixed interests in the fight. Golden Boy Promotions, De La Hoya's company, is the lead promoter of the event, but the former six-division champion is also making plans to fight Hatton next May - if Hatton wins or loses a competitive contest.

Does that make you feel better?

I can say one thing. Hatton WON the psych battle. That weigh in was intense and an eye opener for Floyd. He looked shocked and out of his element. I don't know how it may or may not affect the fight, but no matter what it's good for Hatton.

Doesnt make me feel anything really , I already knew they are not confident they are hopeful , there is a difference ,,,, the headlines just wouldnt be the same if it read " Oscar gives Ricky a chance "

Oscar is a promoter. He's going to sell as many pay per views as possible for this fight.

Next up, if Hatton wins, it benefits him the most. A Hatton beating Floyd stands to make a lot of money for Oscar and Golden Boy if the next fight is with Oscar.

If Hatton loses, then it sucks for Oscar in the long run since Floyd has his own promotional company going forward and will likely take on Cotto managed by Arum (right?)as the next big fight.

Not all of them say 'good chance'.......
Ricky Hatton Has the tools not to upset Floyd Mayweather, but to beat him.
