So how will Hatton get screwed if he is'nt allowed to do something which is not allowed in the Sport unless you get away with it?
I'm not talking about excessive "holding." Read what I posted. I'm talking about inside fighting. I'm sure you would love it if Jay Nady were in there breaking the fighters up everytime their bodies came together. Fortunately for the quality of the fight, it's Joe Cortez. Thus, we have a chance to see a real fight.

      Wiley,

This thread features TWO excuses so far:

      1) hatton is drained
      2) hatton is getting screwed by the ref

      C'mon, playboy.

Boxing isnt about style points and how good you look during a fight. At least not the boxing I grew up on.

It's about action. It's about results. It's about something other then 'style points'. It's about substance.

Something primitive about boxing, yet so complex. It's man to man combat.

Holding, elbowing, mauling, hitting with the cuff, low blows. All part of the sport. And has been since Marquis of Queensbury.

Doesn't detract from a fighter's greatness. And it sure as hell should never detract from a guys legacy.

I'm sorry man...but this will and always will be part of the sport.

It is a fight after all.

Your totally misreading my post. All I'm doing is defusing the Excuse Wiley is currently planting as to a potential reason why Hatton might lose. If Cortez doesn't allow Hatton to hit and hold that doesn't mean the fix it is in, it mean's he is doing his job and not allowing an illegal procedure to occur.

I totally agree, i think Hatton is SO Mr nice guy and that Floyd has been ****** in taking Hatton lightly, especially with this dancing **** on TV!

Thats also why a lot of the pro's are backing Hatton, becuase he is a proper pro !

Floyd has taken the piss outta this sport for too long, here comes his D-day!

It's so ironic that the fat man came in lighter at the weigh in.

I've always maintained that if the same Hatton that fought Tszyu shows up on December 8, then Floyd is in for the fight of his life. Furthermore, it appears that Hatton has actually won the pre-fight head game battle. Thus, I've got Hatton to win a decision.

What do you think about the pre-fight head game battle, and will it make a difference?
I don't really think that either guy was MUCH affected by anything the other did. I say MUCH, because I think, if anything, both are just eager to fight now.

As far as the stats go, they show an even playing field. Mayweather is the bigger guy, faster guy, more skilled guy and the guy with more big fight experience. I mention the experience thing to determine the "head games" argument. However, as I said, I don't think that'll be that big of a factor. Both will be themselves, come fight night.

I've got Mayweather stopping Hatton by TKO in the 10th.

Floyd was the exact same Floyd he always is from start to finish. Trash talk so bad people hate his guts. Once he feels comfortable with the financial PPV aspect because he has marketed the fight, he relaxes. Nothing different for him. He has been focused and that is what so many do not seem to understand.

He himself says he has been focused so those saying he does/did not look focused, so.

Mayweather has not deviated from his normal pattern. Hatton has to a very large extent, IMO. I have never seen him do a slit throat gesture.
