Floyd Sr. Determined to See his Son Lose

You think you are making valid points because you bring up that fact that you believe Sr. does not care about setting negative things in motion in his life does not negate the fact that that is exactly what will happen.
If the best you can do is proclaim my statement is borrowed to justify it's validity, then just silence yourself. Regardless of whether he cares about that or not, it is still true. Regardless of whether the statement is borrowed, reworded, twisted and sprawled, it's still true.
What is your point exactly? That the statement's truth is irrelevant because Mayweather does not care about karma in his own life? You are certain of this how? Based on the fact that what is fueling his behavior is hurt and disappointment? That is what makes you confident? Oh. But, the statement is still truthful. Regardless of that.
Oh, and that was NOT my original post.
This was;
"Amazing.
How funny Oscar called Sr. to discuss Floyd's "weaknesses". Sr. must really be bitter. OMG."
Anyway, you are not owning anyone this way. My opinion remains the same and the statement, irrelevant or not (Which is totally relevant, by the way.), is still valid.
I was never trying to own anyone, I was merely pointing that your post was either logically flawed or a flame.
Your statement insinuates that if people "realized" this simple truth, then they wouldnt' do it. You keep arguing that what you said is true...and tha'ts the funny thing...I"M ARGUING THAT TOO. My point is what you said is akin to a fortune cookie saying...what the forutne cookie says is TRUE NO MATTER WHAT, but it is neither applicable nor relevant in most cases. That is my point.
I apologize if me asking if you were a female made you think I was out to "own" you...I asked because of your avatar and name.Comment

If Sr. feels that way about respecting his son then just needs to shut the **** up and live his life and let his son live his life and let cards fall where they lay. Sr. brings this **** up more than anybody. What Sr. needs to realize is that regardless of him training PBF that PBF has God given gifts. Sr. could be the best trainer of all-time like he claims but if the fighter he is training doesn't have the ability to execute then it doesn't matter who is training him because that fighter just won't be able to get it done. Sr. is just ****ing crazy and wants **** his way or the highway.
But I will say this I think PBF would be a even better fighter if him and his father would have been able to get along as father and son, trainer and fighter. All Sr. does is think boxing all day and that is the **** he would had his PBF on all day. Why do you think you hear PBF family and PBF himself say he didn't have a childhood because his father made him box and train all day everyday.Last edited by tredh; 12-07-2007, 12:05 PM.Comment

The point is that regardless of whether he knows it or not, it is still in effect in his life. THAT is the point, Sir. It is STILL in effect.I was never trying to own anyone, I was merely pointing that your post was either logically flawed or a flame.

I do believe that knowing certain things may inhibit certain behavior. Nothing flawed about that. Your feeling Sr. has an agenda because he hates his son so much he'd do anything to see him defeated, with no consciousness of repercussions in his very own life does not overcome the law of retribution.
Thanks for the clarification regarding the "You're a female." statement.Comment

I apologize if I misinterpreted what you were saying, but I was under the impression that becasue of those two quotes, you're saying what MAyweather Sr is doing is "not right" or doesn't make sense, especially because "People don't realize the more you hate someone and try to see them destroyed/defeated, the more you set that very occurrence in motion in your own life."
When I kept saying you were using borrowed knowledge, my point was that what you said is in fact TRUE, almost unequivacably but it is irrelevant. To stretch the analogy to the maximum, it's like me saying "Floyd wins this fight because 1+1=2". Ok, 1+1=2 but what does that matter?
Does it not make sense that BECAUSE Floyd is Sr's own blood and BECAUSE Sr trained him originally that Sr would want the credit for Floyd's success? If Floyd proclaims that Roger is the best trainer and NOT Sr, and then goes out of his way to say Sr has a place in Mayweather's life as his father...that Floyd is giving a big middle finger to the man that first taught him how to box? You think Sr wants to be Floyd's dad because of blood?
Let me let you in on a secret, Sr thinks he's the best trainer in the world and he'd like to prove it. By devising a strategy to beat the strategy of the trainer who your son proclaism as the best trainer...(If you are still following me, this means Sr should try to devise a strategy to defeat Roger's strategy...which reduces to Sr should find a way to help hatton beat Floyd)...that's how Sr can take one step closer to proving he's the best trainer.
If after Sr trains several guys to beat the living crap out of floyd in the Ring, Sr proclaims "my son may not be the best fighter, but he's still my son and he has a place in my life", then Sr will have done what floyd has done to Sr.
Can you see why it makes sense that Sr is the way he is towards his son? I'm not saying Floyd's at fault either, but the situation is not really "amazing", it's logical. What would be amazing is if Sr and Floyd had a good father and son relationship given their situations.
I also employ your quote in my daily life because I am a balanced man. But no truly balanced man acheives the success that floyd and Sr have. They have given their lives to boxing so it makes sense that they would continue to do so and act accordingly.Last edited by JWangSDC; 12-07-2007, 12:10 PM.Comment

Firstly, you are not informing me of anything new. It's all water under the bridge and certainly, information that I have been privy too for a long time, my friend.
Secondly, I would hope the "If you're still following me" was not an attempt at being condescending. It was unnecessary.
Lastly, I do believe you have a valid point. Never said you did not. What I have stated and will continue to state is that regardless of what is driving someone's negative behavior, it's still sewing negatively and will guarantee destruction in their own lives.
You may not feel it's relevant because you believe Sr. is not viewing it as such, but it is relevant. The best thing Sr. could do is allow the cards to fall where they may. Strategizing to upset your son for vengeance sake will not guarantee the upset, but will certainly guarantee your regret.Comment

Click this link TredhTo be honest they whole situation ****ed up. I can see why Sr. doesn't want PBF to have a relationship with his mother. PBF mother brother shot Sr. in the leg while he was holding 1 yr old PBF and ****ed Sr's boxing career up. Thats some ****ed up **** that probably had something to do with the mother and Sr. being in a arguement and the brother knew he couldn't beat Sr. so he shot him.
But at the sametime Sr. has to let his son be a man and make his own decisions on how he feels about that situation. Also you can tell by Sr. interviews he is very arrogant and outspoken and still looks at PBF as a little boy who should be told what he can and can't do. Sr. must realize his son is grown and he can't talk to him that way and needs to respect his son as the man he is. PBF said that himself and Sr. comment to that was basically **** that **** PBF talking about. So I can see why they don't get a long.
Me being a grown man I don't let my mother, father or anybody for that matter say anything out of there mouth to me.

Ok, the only place we disagree is in the bottom of your post. I think strategizing to upset your son is a great way for Sr to get what he wants. If he exposes a big hole in Floyd's game and that piece of information leads to the loss of Floyd's 0...then mission accomplished. I think that would really testify to the greatness of Sr as a trainer.Comment

If Sr. is not guilty of trying to sabotage Floyd Jr, then I most humbly sit corrected.Click this link Tredh
