If Mayweather Went Toe-to-Toe, He Would Still Beat Hatton

Tszyu had a year long lay-off from an injury, meaning that he got out of shape. Oscar had no injuries, was healthy, and by the time of the Mayweather fight, he was in the best shape that I've seen him in in years.
No, most of Hatton's opponent's don't quit. Urango and Collazo easily went the distance right afterwards, while two shot fighters in Castillo and Tszyu couldn't hang, which reflects more on them than Ricky. Tszyu in his prime was much tougher than Collazo and Urango.exactley HE QUIT. shown how much Hatton took from him. Oscar quit too..QUIT FRIGGIN JABBING.
What do you mean so what? He grew up after that. Men don't stop growing on average until they're in their early 20s, so he was still filling out and just so happened to grow a larger frame than Floyd in that he carries weight better AND is taller. He's naturally bigger. To dispute that only makes me think even less of you.Oscar started his career 2 lbs higher then Floyd, so what....Last edited by sonofisis; 12-06-2007, 12:44 PM.Comment

Nobody is debating who was the better fighter, were talking about what fight had more significance. Delahoya beating Mayorga dident make him #1 at Jrmiddle. Tszyu was Undisputed at Jr Welter, Floyd was never champ at Jr Welter, as Hatton beating Collazo at Welter dident make him Champ. This is the fight between the two Linear Champs at Welter and Jr Welter. Delahoya never fought Tszyu when he was at 140, but I do agree he would have probably won. Saying that, Dlh isnt the same fighter he was 8 years ago.Comment

Let's not also forget to mention that fact that Oscar was the bigger man in the fight.
We've saw how Hatton's performed against a bigger guy who wasn't even that good (Collazo).
Mayweather was able to execute his gameplan against a world class bigger man and win the fight clearly (despite how the judges saw it).Comment
