I would not put Chavez up there simply because even though he didn't acknowledge his loses, it was more being a competitor than anything else. He was never disrespectful to any fighter and never said things that were out of line.

Mayorga is definitly not in the humble category, he WAS humbled when he lost but his attitude is one of the worst the sport has ever seen.
      Cuahtemoc,

Yeah, I think I agree with you about Chavez. He was enormously proud, but I don't recall ever seeing him disrespect anyone. As others have said, there is a fine line between being proud or confident and being arrogant. I imagine that any successful athlete (especially fighters) have to develop pretty big egos. I guess that's why it's so refreshing to see down to earth fighters.

out of all the fighters Ive met, Roy Jones, Wayne Mccullough, Antonio Margarito, Julio Diaz were really super cool.

        fighters that were nice

Trinidad, Tyson, Kevin Kelly, James Toney, Lennox,.....

Floyd was a prick, Just like on Tv.....I also heard alot of stories about him being a prick from people here in Vegas. Erik Morales isnt very friendly to tell you the truth, Chavez was walking around not really being friendly, Floyd Senior acctually had two cops escorting him into the arena like if he was hot ****.

Yeah, I definitely agree with you about Darchinyan. Trust me, I didn't forget about Naz. I knew that someone would mention him pretty quick. I'm still waiting on Camacho (Jr and Sr) and Sweet Pea. Bottom line is that an exhaustive list of insufferably arrogant fighters would be closer to five million entries than five. The greater challenge is coming up with five humble fighters.

Thats a pretty decent list. I'll throw Tyson on both sides.

When he was a young pro he was the most humble and likable person. It was common after he knocked someone the **** out for him to go help them up and hug them.

After he got out of jail he was an animal. Biting holyfield's ear, all the **** he did to Lennox Lewis. All the **** he said to reporters. I remember one interview when it was a female reporter that asked him a question and he basically said "don't talk to me unless you want to fornicate"

I think Larry Holmes is a bit pissed that he's criminally underrated. He deserves more recognition than most give him. I can forgive his 'arrogance'.

Yeah early in his career Tyson was humble and articulate while aggressive and intimidating. Jail or his career must have pissed him off though because he lost the humble articulate side and just became aggressive and arrogant after that.

                      Arrogant

                      #1 Marlon Starling
                      #2 James Toney
                      #3 Floyd Mayweather
                      #4 Nigel Benn
                      #5 Naseem Hamed

                      Humble

                      #1 Michael Watson
                      #2 Mike McCallum
                      #3 Old George Foreman
                      #4 Ricky Hatton
                      #5 Chris Eubank

I've met Hamed and Benn both arrogant to the extreme and ****y as arseholes. Benn is a complete and utter nob even to his own fans.

Also met Watson,McCallum,Foreman and Eubank and they are all extremely nice and humble. Most will be surprised to see Eubank on a humble list as he was ****y and arrogant in front of the camera but off of it he is the opposite a real genuine nice guy who gave me plenty of time and an autograph and even joked with me as I was wearing a Nigel Benn T-Shirt at the time.
