I just double checked and Winky is 36......Cals is 35 and will be 36 in 3 months.

I dont think ANYONE Joe has fought is as good as Winky Wright.....Bika, Kessler, Lacy, Manfredo, Reid....NO.

You could say that within reason, but Winky is far to small for Joe and has had far longer days at the office, that just negates the notion that the Winky Joe would face will be his best ever opponent.

Kessler is about as dangerous as it will get for Joe. That includes any of the name fighters you want to throw at him. I think genuinely to beat Joe you need to be a significantly hard puncher.

Winky would box Kesslers head off his shoulders....lol....stop with the Kessler crap.

        Chad Dawson

        Kelly Pavlik

        Winky Wright

        Bernard Hopkins

ARE ALL TOUGH FIGHTS FOR JOE.

this guy is a 154 pounder. dont take a fight at a higher weight because its easier to make wieght man.. winky just moved up to middle in 05.. i dont think he should fight at 168.. there just naturally bigger

No Winky isnt his prime..and last I checked him and Joe Cal are BOTH 35 years old.
You do know that different fighters peak at different ages right? Lennox Lewis was better in his 30s than he was in his 20s, but Vargas is shot at 29. It's pretty safe to say that Joe is much closer to his peak than Winky.

I would like this fight a lot really. Calzaghe may be able to outwork Winky, but he doesnt load up on his shots enough to really break through Winky's defence and most everyone's jab is nullified when you fight Winky, which takes away one of Calzaghe's biggest weapons.

really, if Calzaghe fights Woods, Dawson, Hopkins, or Winky...I would be happy. but it better be one of those guys.

Its also pretty safe to say that if these two meet in the ring They will be the same age...36 years old.

Joe Cal is faster than Wright..but Wright nuetralizes speed bettr than anyone in boxing not named Cotto or Mayweather.

He actually made Shane Msley look slow at times.

Kelly has the standard punchers chance, he could KTFO anyone from 160-175, however he could lose to Taylor. Chad Dawson really isn't on the radar. Winky is too small but obviously has awesome defense. Bernard too might be inactive. Winky is a tough fight but feasibly..he can't win.

Personally I think one of Joe's toughest fights was against Bika, with his roughhousing, use of the head. Joe couldn't get off really. I think Bika basically won about 3 rounds, but Joe didn't look great. Based on this fight, and the fact Hopkins does all this niggly dirty stuff better than anybody else. He has the most chance.

In 2006 and 2007, Winky is 1-1-1 in three fights, his only win a dec of Quartey, who had lost 3 of his last 6.

In 2006 and 2007, Joe is 4-0, 2 of those wins coming against undefeated world champs.

                      You don't see any difference?
