Ricky says all the right things and appears to be coming in with the best outlook anyone could have against the pound for pound #1. Go get him Rick!

            THE LIES.....

Ricky Hatton: “I’m jumping out of my skin (waiting for this fight). It is a fight I’ve always wanted. You’ve spoken to Billy, he’ll tell you it is a fight we’ve always fancied style wise. We’ve fancied this fight for years and when the fight came about we knew it was going to be a huge fight. We wanted it (the fight) years ago but in the meantime Floyd’s become (a) bigger (name). I’ve become (a) bigger (name) and the time is right.”

Going into this fight Team Hatton are under no illusions about the perceived reality of the situation:

            THE TRUTH....

Father and business manager openly admitted they turned down the chance to at least negotiation for a Mayweather fight in 2004. "That was the one fight, style wise, which I thought we needed a few more fights before taking," said father Ray Hatton. "

How do you know it's not the other way round?

I don't read online boxing articles mate so I'm not sure what the style is but I'll have a scoot around and see. Glad you enjoyed the quotes from Ricky. More from Billy are on their way. Just skip my bits and enjoy his :TU:

I'm not sure of what Ray has said but over the past year both Hatton and his trainer have talked about the fight. To that end I put what Hatton said and did not consider the stuff said by his father about a fight in 2004.

Either way the fight is now on so the idea of lies is not really relevant. You can say that Floyd's actions during that period speak for themselves, he came for a piece of LW, left straight away, jumped from WW when Hatton went their briefly.

Either way both men are now ready to fight so that is the main thing to be thinking about. It should be a good as well.
