    New Day, Same Hopkins Underrating.

He was underrated going into the Tito fight, hell the tourney that King set up for the MW title involving Trinidad, Hopkins, Joppy and Holmes. He won that, retested his status against another star caliber fighter in DLH and knocked him out with a body shot. People said he's too old, and he roughed up the LHW champion of the World and followed that up by winning an ugly fight against the sports #2 P4P fighter (Did people expect an entertaining show?lol)

Now......Tarver openly states on Showtime that "He's the Man To Beat" at Light Heavyweight and now "People should come see him".

Hopkins calls Calzaghe out.........Calzaghe acts like he just saw The Grim Reaper holding a spare tire on the side of the road and calls out Wink.

What a ****ing joke. Either they underrate him, say he's too old, or they just flat out ignore one of the greatest fighters of all time.

I'd actually like to see Hopkins/Tarver II.......Tarver clearly wasn't himself that night and I think he could provide a better showing in a rematch.....would he win? Probably not but I think it could be a better fight.

No, I'm perplexed why people are pushing Hopkins off the shelf.

And if people think he's boring, well they can have Tarver.

Calzaghe has wanted Hopkins for a long time, it is Hopkins avoiding Joe. Remember when Hopkins doubled his purse demands for a Calzaghe fight? Now Hopkins is offering Calzaghe rediculously small ammounts in an effort to prove he wants the fight. It is pretty much clear as day that Hopkins will do anything to avoid fighting Joe, anything apart from flat out admit he wont fight him because he knows he would lose.

If anyone is putting old man Hopkins on the shelf, it is nobody but himself.

I agree with you Run. I read this on fight news in regards to the Cal fight:

              Calzaghe rejects Hopkins offer!

Unbeaten WBC/WBA/WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe says he has rejected an offer from Golden Boy to fight Bernard Hopkins. "To be honest, the offer wasn't as much as I got for the Kessler fight so from a business point of view the deal doesn't make sense for me," Super Joe told Wales on Sunday. "Hopkins must really convince me with hard cash that he really wants this fight because I'm not sure he does." Calzaghe, who will be at in Las Vegas to cheer on countryman Ricky Hatton next Saturday, added that Hopkins is still his #1 target but only if the numbers add up. He also dismissed a possible bout against IBF light heavyweight champion Clinton Woods saying "While Clinton has a title, he is not a big name and will not get American TV excited – and I want to keep them happy as that's where the money is."

I'm thinking it's a tactic to get more money but you never know.
