Top Rank offered 100k to Quintana so he could wait to fight Cotto in march in Puerto Rico so Cotto could fight Urkal in Atlantic City instead since Quintana was the #1 Contender for the WBA title and he REFUSED that money so he could fight Cotto in December, wrong mistake as we all know. Quintana is not a bad fighter he just was too confident and decided to slug it out with someone that well...you just DONT slug it out in 147 hehe.

I don't think there is a fighter in the 147lbs DIV that would had assimilated the devastating left hook shot to the liver that Cotto connected that night agaisnt Quintana. That specific punch would had drop everyone to the canvas for the full count. NoOne would had stand up and kept fighting. Quintana still got much to prove and this is his best chance so far. people are underestimating Carlos and overrating Williams.

Williams is a southpaw and is fighting a southpaw so his spacing will become less than other fighters he usally fights.

i know this because I am a southpaw too and sparred with southpaws and know how the fight could go on

Williams is very skinny for the welter weights... plus he's fiting a soutpaw...lets see how his activity will be affected.

Margarito didnt start boxing till the 5-6th round ..and thats when he started doing good.


Q-man will box from the beggining. williams will stand and trade i think... which will end up making him respect Q-man.


I can see the Q-Man surprising everyone with some powerful shots. Remember Q-man can take a punch, and i fail to believe willaims hits even remotely as hard as cotto.
