LOL, I guess you don't understand that throwing a straight left and missing for the majority of the rounds(while getting counter-punched with combos at will) doesn't win you rounds, no matter how mean the straight left's intentions are.

watch it again. the first time I watched it, I thought Lederman was crazy for giving Pac rounds left and round.

      I was also drunk.

Upon watching it 5 times since then, I score it exactly as he does except I give Pacquiao one more round than he does I believe. Marquez did well to come back, but his punches were nowhere near as effective as Pacquiao's and not much more constant either.

Of course i am arguing with a Whitaker fan. Did you have Pernell beating Trinidad by any chance?

You try to belittle my opinion on a totally unrelated topic because I am a fan of a fighter? Ok chief, coming from a Mayweather fan, I guess I shouldn't take it as seriously.

If I was a dunce as well, I would use the same argument for Mayweather/Castillo, but I'm not, so I won't.

Anyways, you points on the fight were that Pac was throwing the harder shots, he can throw them all he wants, if he is missing and getting counter-puncher and getting all the cleaner punches landed on him, then he is not winning, no matter how hard he throws.

and Castillo hit nothing but shoulders and arms for 12 rounds. what is your point? watch the fight again and pay REAL close attention when pacquiao is snapping Marquez' head back with straight lefts from rounds 7-10

I have to say Marquez is a real warrior for surviving the 1st round, and the 3 ko's, and coming back to dominate the fight.
Man Pac must have real power in that left hand.

He wasn't landing them from what I remember, and I wasn't drunk when I watched it the first time. He was coming forward throwing a straight left the whole time, his lack of versatility at the time was embarassing. Marquez figured him out, as any great fighter would, and started countering him at will. I was a big Pacquiao fan at the time, and was going for him, but was surprised at the rounds Lederman was giving to him(Lederman is an idiot though, and I rarely take his scoring seriously anymore).

Marquez clearly outboxed him from rounds 3 on, maybe Pac winning a round or two.

I had Floyd winning against Castillo as well, but you dismissing Castillo's performance as you are shows your lack of analysis, which is why I'm not sure whether I should take your score for the Pac fight as seriously.

And no, obviously I didn't have Whitaker beating Trinidad, what fan have you ever heard say he did? He was robbed against Ramirez, Chavez, and in my opinion(and many others) deserved the decision against De La Hoya.

Marquez won the fight, IMHO. I had him winning every round after the 3rd except for maybe one.
