Anyone kno about some fool out of Florida named JD Chapman? Impressive record but is he all that?
What Eddie lacks is size and punch. Hes no naturall heavyweight. He just weighs about 215 and still looks flabby. Povetkin is not much bigger than him physically but he punches harder and seems to be better and i hope he wins against Chambers.
About Boytsov i think hes also a small heavyweight but bigger than Chambers. Hes just 21 and hes developing into an naturall heavyweight.

Even though he mostly fights creampuffs there, but Carl Davis Drummond, George Garcia, and Leo Nolan have pulled out of fights with us there. JD was about to fight Povetkin in Germany (a fight I was vehemently against mind you) but Im just an outside peon who gives opinions not decisions for those guys. Povetkin would've picked him apart, but it was a BIG payday and Scott and JD felt he had more than a puncher's chance.
if and when chapman steps it up he needs to be careful, mind you it sounds like youve seen a lot more of him than most anyone around, but really this day and age in boxing he can probably fight a guy like monte barrett, owen beck... leo nolan wouldve been a good choice... and make the same career progress he would gain by beating a povetkin or brock.

i dont think it would be crazy to take a shot at hasim rahman either, hes two steps below povetkin but has much better name recognition... plus possibly (not for sure) a higher rank with the WBC.

Orltroy, is there a video available of the Boytsov fight you mention?

dmaclv, you know you're just being silly with the Chambers hype, right?

Rahman is a good opponent for JD and will say alot about both. I gave that little hint to Hirsch on my way to work tonight and he likes the idea. If it happens, I will declare that it was Hitman who came up with Chapman/Rahman fight. I will respectfully disagree that a win over Nolan, Beck, or Barrett would be the same as beating Povetkin or Brock. Both Brock and Povetkin are better fighters and are acknowledged as such by insiders and rankings committees, and a win over them puts JD or any conquerer in a higher standing, and it would tell us a lot more about JD. However, I don't think JD is busy or more importantly, confident enough to beat Brock or Povetkin without beating Barrett or company. I will be in Hollywood Florida with Hirsch this Wednesday and Kevin Johnson is on that card, hint hint. I'm not sold on it and am pushing for a Joey Abell fight. We'll see. And Kayjay sir, I need to get those videos again. My ********** links to them are expired. but try profibox.hu hit foruma then profibox thread and then video per pillant. There are 100's of fights on there and I believe I got some of his fights from there.

I have been watching some vids of Dennis Boytsov and he looks very promising. He somewhat reminds me of a young Tyson, his handspeed is great, he can punch like a mule and his bodyshots are very devastating. I think Boytsov is more promising and impressive than the fatty Cuban Odlanier Solis.

i dont see his style as anything like tyson. solis has better overall skill than this boytsov guy but i think his condition is going to let him down.

I think he fights more like Holyfield than Tyson. He's more of a boxer/puncher that doesn't hesitate to move back. I like his style from the few fights I've seen and it's interesting that he's only 21. He has a lot of years to get better if he sticks with it. If he's 6' 1", I don't see that being too small. If anything, these 6' 6" - 7' monsters seem too tall, slow, and awkward to be great heavyweights. The only tall fighters that I think ever looked good were Bowe & Lewis. I could be wrong, but i think as soon as a fast and skillful fighter comes around and is under 6' 4", he'll show how awkward and slow guys like Wlad really are.

Boytsov won the first two rounds and then Pala was backing him up and controlling the fight when it was abruptly stopped due to a superficial lac UNDER Pala's eye. I might sound biased but I have no real big hopes for Pala, he will be another Danny Williams or Monte Barrett, but with worse promotions. I've seen every Boytsov fight except the latest, and he is too small for heavies. He does throw cobos, but once he is tagged, he goes into a shell. He is still very young at 21 and has a chance to improve, I just don't see it happeneing. I have a feeling he'll be another Brian Nielson. Of course I wasn't sold on Alexander Dimitrenko either, and while he can be a bit chinny, he recovers well and has finally become an agressive fighter, something I NEVER thought would happen. So for the sake of boxing I hope I'm wrong about Boytsov, but he is overhyped imo.
another brian nielsen you say . thats very harsh.
