NO!!! And I really hoped so. He is small and the only live body he was put in with (Ondrej Pala, former Czech amateur with Bronze in Euros) Boytsov was bailed out of the fight. Boytsov won the first two rounds and then Pala was backing him up and controlling the fight when it was abruptly stopped due to a superficial lac UNDER Pala's eye. I might sound biased but I have no real big hopes for Pala, he will be another Danny Williams or Monte Barrett, but with worse promotions. I've seen every Boytsov fight except the latest, and he is too small for heavies. He does throw cobos, but once he is tagged, he goes into a shell. He is still very young at 21 and has a chance to improve, I just don't see it happeneing. I have a feeling he'll be another Brian Nielson. Of course I wasn't sold on Alexander Dimitrenko either, and while he can be a bit chinny, he recovers well and has finally become an agressive fighter, something I NEVER thought would happen. So for the sake of boxing I hope I'm wrong about Boytsov, but he is overhyped imo.
Could Dennis Boystov be the next great heavyweight

He had major problems with his back and just recovered. That's why he's had such long lapses between fights and movement imparity. I hope he's 100% and can move on, time to get his opponent level up.After his first fights i was quiet impressed about this guy, looked like a white Tyson but hes not stepping up the competition and i have the feeling hes not moving as much and bob and weaving as much as he used to. I think thats because of his trainer, the european style is not with much bob and weave and he seems to be much more straight up now and i dont like it and hes inactive in the last time and he doesnt look as fit as in his first pro fights physically. With that poor opposition its not difficult to win all but 2 by KO. When he fought Pala whos a bit more than an taxidriver he wasnt able to hurt this guy, he also didnt look verry good when he fought Edson Cesar Antonio. And hes not just fighting taxidriver but mostly guys who are no natural heavyweights and weigh under 220 pounds, guys that are easy to KO.
I have seen most of his fights but i have to see more against better opponents. The next great heavyweight?? Propably not and way to early to call.Comment

Judgin on how he does with Povetkin, Fast Eddie is the future. He has nice and fast hard hittin combos and has the stamina to keep it up all night.
Anyone kno about some fool out of Florida named JD Chapman? Impressive record but is he all that?Comment

JD is my boy, but he is like a lot of heavyweights, great in sparring, loses it all in the ring once the pads are off. HE is a good kid and is learning on the job, but lacks the fire inside. Doesn't mean I don't give him a puncher's chance. He's been working with Emmanuel Steward of late. We had a fight for him this coming Wednesday on the Season's beatings card in Hollywood, but he wanted to spend time with his family and new girlfriend. JD is still a work in progress, but its time to turn a profit and get a big fight. Actually he almost got a title shot (interim) with Samuel Peter. Instead Scott put in Jameel. Rather there is a new guy Hirsch is with and this kid has the heart to fight. Look for Kasim Howard in the next two years. As for JD, I hope he sticks it out and starts working hard again. He is enjoying being a heavyweight too much. But he does look great in the gym against guys like Monte Barrett and Shannon Briggs, Jameel gives him a beating for the most part.Comment

i remember watching jd against gutierrez, his body language was terrible anytime he got hit and he let himself get pushed around on the inside all night despite the fact that gutierrez was much smaller old manComment

on top of that, i hear the guy is made out of legos as he is constantly plagued by some sort of injury, even at his young age.Comment

Uh he has his share of ****** injuries that is true. Hitman, he gets so frustrated and loses focus of things don't go his way in the ring. He is a lot like Rafael Butler in that sense, but unlike Butler Jad has a chin. JD does feel comfortable fighting in Arkansas. Even though he mostly fights creampuffs there, but Carl Davis Drummond, George Garcia, and Leo Nolan have pulled out of fights with us there. JD was about to fight Povetkin in Germany (a fight I was vehemently against mind you) but Im just an outside peon who gives opinions not decisions for those guys. Povetkin would've picked him apart, but it was a BIG payday and Scott and JD felt he had more than a puncher's chance.Comment
