Early excuses. The article matches with my understanding as well. Hatton will be in fantastic shape for the fight. The issue is whether or not Hatton left his best boxing on the canvas during the Tszyu fight. We'll find out on December 8. However, I will state with confidence that if the Hatton that fought Tszyu shows up on Dec. 8, then Floyd is in for the fight of his life. There is no doubt about this.
You know that ass whoopin' is coming.
I think you need to visit Dios's No excuses thread.Comment

Its a waste of time to debate with Floyd's boxingscene guardian angel. There is no way that Floyd will ever be #2 in any category according to Sonofloyd.Comment

Proper health and fitness maintenence discredits Hatton and his claim that he is in better shape than Mayweather. It's very detrimental to gain significant weight and lose it drastically. It's a strain on the heart as well as the nervous system and every time he does so, he is doing more harm than good. Mayweather has maintained a continuously healthy lifestyle, dismissing alcohol of any kind, etc. I know we may all like Hatton, but being honest and logical is always nice. It's promoted IMO. Hatton is not in better shape. He may look ok on the outside, but the damage he is causing inside will be revealed in due season.Comment

There is really no clue who is training harder because they are both pushing themselves to the limit. Sparring 6-8 minute rounds for 13-15 rounds is preety hard to top though.Comment

On the other hand it's Mayweather who is complaining loudest about his injuries. There's more to fitness than being "in shape".Comment

It probably will cost Hatton in the long term but there is no real proof that Mayweather has trained harder than Hatton or that he is fitter. That doesn't make him more fit then Mayweather.
The way I see it is, Ricky went into Fat Camp to shed off that extra fat with the other fat kids. After weeks and weeks of training he has been able to accomplish that. He is in good shape.
Compared that to an athlete who is in shape all year round, that is nothing. Floyd's overall body of work makes him the more conditioned athlete. Losing and putting on and losing pounds over and over can't be good in the long run, specially while lifting weights....ask Roy jones about that. As a matter of fact we might just see that part exposed in this fight once Hatton starts fading down the stretch from fatigue after repeatedly getting smacked around by Collazo-esque combos.Comment
