I don't see that logic. You're going to try and compare a fight with Hatton, to a fight with Oscar, the most popular boxer on the planet.

But given that, yes Mayweather is a draw, most notably because he's becoming more and more of a name in the U.S., due to Dancing with the Stars (one of the highest rated shows), winning the biggest fight in boxing history, appearances on Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, the hit of the 24/7 series etc.

This fight should break a million buys in the U.S. alone, and that's incredible considering Hatton is a virtual unknown in the U.S.
