I don't particularly have a favorite fighter, but I like Cotto and Hatton a lot. I voted for Hatton, but actually i probly shoulda said Cotto now that I think about it.

The definition he gave is NOT the only definition. It is a definition, but not the only, my friend. Regardless of being technical about the definition of popular as it pertains to being liked and or highly regarded by many, Mayweather is the standard on this forum. On most boxing forums. Hate threads deluging the boards do indeed count for something. The most popular unpopular boxer on NSB. Why don't we just say that.Comment

I know it's not the only definition. But it is the definition that springs to mind when you mention popular. Which is what I think that the thread starter actually meant although I could well be wrong on that. If he meant most talked about then yes PBF hands down that's a no-brainer.Comment
