DLH was a massive star at the early age of 23. The thing which DLH made which all the these other names that have been mentioned don't is the Gold Medal.

He won that at a young age, the story of his mother dying also helped his appeal. He was pretty well know before he turned pro from the 1992 games.

There arent any fighters out there now that will have anything close to the popularity of Oscar. Floyd is almost done so if he was gonna be that guy it would have happened by now. however i think cotto has the potential to land somewhere in the ballpark (or at least in the conversation) if he learns a tad more english and talks a bit more but he has some of the qualities like oscar has such as he's an exciting boxer in many people's opinions and he's a good guy (like oscar).
