Oscar De La Hoya has made a bold call, he predicts Ricky Hatton will upset WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He was quoted by The Daily Mirror as saying that a lot of people betting on Mayweather will their lose money on Dec. 8. De La Hoya fought Mayweather to a split-decision loss in May. [details]

Kostya Tszyu was calling him up with loads of advise before the Castillo fight, but Hatton didn't take it - but still said it was an 'honour' (an 'honour' from a guy you beat? Ricky tries too hard to be Mr ****ing Nice Guy sometimes) -
its as if Oscar has a "I'm going to fix the main event come Dec. 8" stamped on his forehead now. I may have to put some money on Hatton (but still more on Floyd)Comment

It looks to me like Hatton is gonna prevail, he may clinch a bit, roughhouse and smother Floyd, but it will help him win. Hatton is an angry determined beast right now and he will do whatever it takes to win. Floyd better be ready to take the hardest bodyshots he has ever taken in his life.Comment

Oscar knows how overrated Floyd is...but he underestimates himself if he thinks that Hatton can do what he did not CLEARLY do.Comment
