    Exactly right.
As Hatton's trainer was saying, he is very quick to get into any position to punch.
Need somebody with quick footwork and good power.

He destroyed him in their last fight, so what could he possibly learn from sparring him?
He has no power, and no toughness like hatton does, so I dont see the point?

Out of all the fighters he fought, he's decided to spar the least skilled.
Surely, you would have sparred guys in the higher weight divisions to emulate Hatton's power, and skill.
first he didn't destroy baldomir, he gave him a lesson.
Baldomir has got more toughness than hatton, but it's true baldomir isn't at all the right choice for sparing

Maybe Baldomir is a red herring but all the noise coming from the Mayweather camp is that Hatton is a one dimensional fighter who is too slow for Floyd, then they choose sparring partners that reflect that belief.

exactly, another point which i think is important is the overall pace of the fight. floyd has not fought a high intensity fight for quite a few years.... in the most part he has dictated the pace, or has conceded rounds assuming his opponent would gas. i dont see floyd controlling the pace of this fight and i dont anticipate ricky gassing either.... i know floyd keeps himself in good condition but sparring and training is a completely different level to an actual fight...

That means very quick at jumping onto a right hand , speed coming in dont matter if your countered on the way in , you think Ricky will come in quicker than Floyds hand speed , Ricky also squares his feet up and is quite open when he throws punches in combination , if he chases Floyd he will get wild if that happens he will get caught , Ricky is a an aggressive fighter and he is in great shape for this fight but there is a lots of holes in Hattons game that Im sure Floyd will take full advantage off them , Floyd has options in this fight that Ricky dont have .

Floydboyz would find a reason to justify ANYBODY that Floyd chooses to use as a sparring partner. Dont u get it guys. Floyd can do no wrong in his fans eyes. He could publically announce that he is gay tommorow, and these Floydboyz would say something like "Well he's accomplished everything there is to do in the sport of boxing, why not try something new"

Yall keep talking about Hatton's fast or quick footwork. It takes more than just good footwork to get on the inside. PBF also hits his opponents which is another reason they get tired besides missing to many punches. Hatton has gotten tired before and when you get hit more times than you have been hit in any previous fight that takes its toll. I am not saying Hatton isn't in great condition but we have seen him get tired before. I have never seen PBF get tired and thats not to say he can't.

Floyd will be ready for Hatton regardless. If he loses it will have nothing to do with his choice of sparring partners.

agreed floyd will have his success as ricky comes in, but the point is that floyd may be VERY suprised as to how quickly hatton closes the gap and cuts off the ring, something his previous opponents in the most part have been **** at. you ever thought how floyd will respond to that? im pretty sure ricky will EXPECT to get hit, floyd certainly wont, big difference in mentality and if it comes down to a war it could be very interesting.
