What are you on about? He said that Floyd is an amazing fighter and that he thinks he will beat Ricky but his heart hopes Hatton wins.

    Let's not twist things now.

its funny how the day b4 Joe was saying the news of the world that Ricky would win. Don't believe anything u read in th papers. The sun and the news of the world are both part of the murdoch empire yet in 2 days they are giving conflicting stories

Sometimes it's hard to know exactly what's in another's mind, but fighting in the US is not in Joe's.........evidently. A reasonable opinion IMO.

          ,,,and the excuses commence.

Did I misread? Did Calzaghe say "my head tells me Floyd because the ref will cheat for him..."?

And therefore his comments may have been taken out of context, unless of course he knowingly made conflicting statements. I simply do not know.

Common it was plain simple english.

Translation: He hopes Ricky wins but he thinks that Floyd will win.

What's so hard to comprehend about that?

no do u not understand what i said, On sunday in the news of the world newspaper there was an article with the 8 other british world champions giving there views on the fight. Joe Calzaghe tipped hatton to win. The only 2 who picked Mayweather were Junior Witter and Clinton Woods
So then do u not think something is amiss when on the sunday Joe tips ricky to win and then on the tuesday he thinks Floyd will win

Maybe he just picked with his heart only on british soil but gave boxingscene his honest opinion. He knows he ****ed up which is why he is correcting his pick stating that his heart has Ricky winning but his head has Floyd winning. I believe somebody once created a Heart vs Head thread to teach people to seperate those two when picking a winner. Alot of people pick fighters based on who they like not based on who they really think will win.

A definite question as to the validity of one of the statements. I simply suggest that the second statement may have been taken out of context.
