"Mary Hopkins", lol . Calzaghe is a funny mofo, he is owning Hopkins and they haven't even fought yet.

If Hopkins stops trying to duck Calzaghe and they actually fight it will be a one sided UD for Calzaghe.

There's always two sides to the story. Why didn't Joe push hard enough to make the fight if he really wanted it? Oh that's right he wanted the fight to be held in Wales because Joe gets really home sick if he drives 10 minutes down the M4. It was a more bravado thing from Joe! I still reckon B-Hop puts it over Joey even at 42. Soon he'll be giving us the Dennis Bergkamp excuse that's he's afarid of aeroplanes too!

Laugh out loud at the people saying Calzaghe ISN'T more athletic than Taylor, who's the one that gets gassed and can't focus after 8 rounds? And which one throws over 1,000 punches a fight as opposed to just over 500?

        That's what I thought.

Now I'm waiting for somebody to say "Stamina isn't athleticism", if stamina isn't athleticism exactly what IS athleticism inside the ring? Or atleast the athleticism that Jermain Taylor possesses?

Roy Jones Junior was athletic, Sugar Ray Leonard was athletic, Floyd Mayweather is athletic, how do I know this? Because they could/can fight from round 1-12 without deteriorating PHYSICALLY.

Jermain Taylor is not a supreme athlete, he is just strong.

Couldn't agree more! All the Old School fighters used to incorporate running into their training regimen. Marciano used to run 5 mile a day every day until he retired. Ray Robinson used to run 10k going backwards. Dempsey also ran a lot. This would enable them to fight without gasping for air by round 2. No wonder all of today's Heavyweights are all fat, rotund, out-of-shape and run out of gas and start hugging eachother like it's Dancing With stars after a few rounds. Stamina is crucial in boxing especially during those Championship rounds and not to mention being able to absorb punishment through excellent conditioning which could save you from getting your arse ko'd. That's why the Old School fighters could stand there and go blow for blow due to their excellent conditioning and not to mention well honed boxing skills.
