Calzaghe is not on the same level of fighter as Hopkins. Lets be real. I'll be honest, I don't know a whole lot about joe...but I do know a good amount about hopkins.....and hopkins is great imo. What I have seen of calzaghe...he just doesnt seem to be that great. Yes hes a good boxer...but not a great boxer...and when he fought kessler...I do agree with alot of people...he slaps. I just dont see what everyone else must see in him..

Hopkins trainer ****m Richardson said that his man should meet the winner out of boxing dinosaurs Roy Jones Jnr and Felix Trinidad rather the face the hard-hitting undefeated Welshman.
^I don't like this type of affirmative reporting; it is biased. The writer asserts definitively that Hopkins is trying to back out of a fight with Joe and then refers to Joe Slapzaghe as a "hard-hitting undefeated Welshman". Obviously hyperbole.

Joe also needs to take his own advice if that's the case and stop chasing old people! Hopkins is older than Roy Jones and Tito, what is he talking about? Go fight Pavlik, it wouldn't concern me if Hopkins retired. He's 43 years old and has accomplished what he needs to. Joe needs to build on his own ****ty WBO legacy instead of trying to leech on the former champ, future hall of famer.

if this was 5 years ago, you may have been right, but from last performances, Calzaghe has proven to be the better fighter where as Hopkins has proven to be the better survivor. i want Calzaghe fighting someone else who would actually fight rather than hold and potshot.

If you dont know anything about Calzaghe you obviously dont know alot about Boxing. Calzaghe is the better fighter, he's way to fast and busy for Hopkins to keep up especially at 42

Hopkins finds ways to win. He is a master technician, its not like he does the same thing every fight, him and his team come up with a gameplan, and he is good enough to execute it perfectly. Calzaghe is not the better fighter by no means. Hopkins will find a way to slow him down and stop his punch output, simple as that. Calzaghe is not gonna go from fighting C and B class fighters to beating one of the best fighters of this generation, get real.

He didn't find a way to beat Jermain Taylor, so how he's gonna find a way to defeat a much better fighter in Calzaghe.

                    Joe by mid round stoppage

Taylor didn't win because he was better. He won because he's more athletic and was more active. Hopkins landed more power punches in both fights and was more accurate. Joe is in his mid-30s himself and even though he's just as active as Jermain, even more active (punch-wise), he's not as athletic and would be easier to control as far as neutralizing his assets. Also, Hopkins won the first fight against Taylor imho.

Since when do we hold 40-year olds to such high standards?
