        He said that Hatton wants respect but that Hatton should respect him first, well Hatton has done nothing but respect him and his ability and on numerous occasions stated that he is the best fighter in the world. That is respect for the fighter, Mayweather slags him and everyone else off as fighters, personality shouldn't come into it. Mayweather doesn't listen to what people say and is obviously confused about what respect means.

        well both fighters respect each other that is why the choose to fight each other.

        fighters have different in showing respect is by training hard and taking each other seriously even though Floyd looks like he doesnt respect Hatton but he is busting his ass so he could win.

        As for his childhood I think he got a good childhood. He used to train with his father and the did everything together the trouble with his father only came after his father went to prison.

        Another thing he got a good child hood living, His father was a contender in the 70s and 80s where boxing was bigger back then. I wonder if Michigan had some rought hoods around
