I don't think that's the reason people hate him, in fact I don't think they actually hate him as much his attitude. He is probably a nice guy deep down and you saw that on 24/7 with his kids. He is defintely insecure though which probably does stem from his childhood. I can take a little insecurity but not the constant disrespect and trash talk.


He said that Hatton wants respect but that Hatton should respect him first, well Hatton has done nothing but respect him and his ability and on numerous occasions stated that he is the best fighter in the world. That is respect for the fighter, Mayweather slags him and everyone else off as fighters, personality shouldn't come into it. Mayweather doesn't listen to what people say and is obviously confused about what respect means.

The reason why we hate him isn't because he's having fun with what he does or becuase he's richer than everyone else.

Its because he's not a sportsman.

He's an ass to his opponents during press conferences and is an ass to everyone else.

Whether you were raised poorly or not if you're an ass people are'nt going to like you.

We don't try to find reasons to hate him, we just hate him outright because of the way he acts.

BTW I'm sure that Floyd has the personality in him that could have gotten him some fans. Did you see the last episode of 24/7? He looked very nice around his kids.

The main reason Floyd is hated is he keeps bull****ting about the respect he should get, yet doesnt respect have to be earned? Nobody is going to respect him as a person until he starts to show respect to his opponents, which I doubt he will ever do. Even when he gets KTFO by Hatton hes gunna be a little ***** and tell everyone a load of bull**** excuses and still call himself the best.
