its people who think this way that allow a coward like maywetaher to get away with ducking the best fighters. you should get credit for being a man and fighting the best even if you lose. all the greats would not be greats if they didnt have losses from fighting the best. the only guy to retire undefeated champion is marciano and he has a terrible resume.

Kostya Tszyu is the only fighter I can honestly say Mayweather avoided. Margarito just got overlooked because of Baldomir. Had Baldo not won the recognized title, Floyd would've beat Margarito just to shut up the naysayers.

I wouldn't say he advoided Kostya either. His first objective was to become a PPV star, he did that. Then he wanted to fight Kostya, but meanwhile he lost to Hatton.

I still think that was a dodge, even if unintentional. Had Tszyu dominated Hatton like expected I'm sure Floyd would've turned his sights elsewhere shortly thereafter.
