Well you have the Mail and the Express which are big C conservative tabloids written for Middle Class people who think they're cleverer than they really are. Then you have the Sun/News of the World for Tory voting lower middle class and tradesmen. They have pictures of **** too so they have more mass appeal. Good sports pages, but very biased. On the left you have the tabloid called the Mirror, and the pretentious broadsheet called the Guardian. Then you have the Times (previously known as the London Times) which is pretty well balanced newspaper and you have the Telegraph which is more small C conservative. Oh and the Independent which says that it is not politically biased but comes across as quite lefty most of the time.

There are a number of local papers also with the Evening Standard being the foremost and the Manchester Evening News being quite big.

Another bit of info, the tabloids in the US are those faux magazines about celebrities. The tabloids in the UK at least pretend to carry real news stories. Normally their front page will say "100s DIE IN IRAQ BOMB" but 60% of the paper is scurrilous gossip and 30% of the remainder is sports.

Here in the states, you have the Murdoch media empire which includes Fox Sports News. Very conservative. The exact opposite of their credo "fair and balanced".

By contrast, MSNBC has a more leftist bent, especially after employing Keith Olbermann.

On the paper side, The New York Times is usually pretty balanced, but generally pro-Israel. That is what I read. Even though I support the Intifada.

The Post and The Daily News are for plebeians, and I avoid them.

Blaming this article for being 'biased' is like blaming a documentary on Roy Jones for focusing too much on Roy Jones instead of Antonio Tarver. There is no logical basis for assuming every article that mentions Hatton has to mention Mayweather. Get over it.
