Exactly, if you don't bow down to the hype machine it will replace you with someone that will.

Hbo is nothing more than a marketing tool to generate millions. It doesn't give a **** about the sport or the legacy or the right things.


Merchant was around for the real ****- It's hard not to be jaded when you know the difference between great fighters and crap, and all you get is crap being called great fighters!

I love larry merchant and still think he is the man but i got to be honest, my brother and I won a contest online and got front row (1000+ tickets) to see wlad own clavin brock in madison sqaure garden and part of the prize was to see and meet the cast as well as go to an exclusive VIP party that had celebrities and ****. anyway when we met the broadcasting cast merchant wasnt very friendly, hardly acknowledged us and was on his pgone half the time but not talkin to anyone. he is still the man though. However lampley was very very very friendly and talked alot, hes the man as well.

I'd argue with the man that says lampley, lederman and kellerman dont care about the sport or its legacy. I think they care tremendously. Merchant is one of biggest fight fans their are anymore.
