Mayorga targets Cotto, Floyd!

Although former world welterweight and super welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga won the WBC's Continental Americas super middleweight championship with his victory over Fernando Vargas, "El Matador" says he has no intention of staying in the 168lb division. "In February I'm going to start working to go down to 147lbs," he said. "I'm coming after Cotto and I'm coming after Mayweather and I want to show the world that I'm the champion of the 147lb division."

another ascpet Mayorga have a punchers chance with both of these guy e****ally a pressure fighter like Cotto who doesnt move around alot is abit dangerous fight for him.

but both of these guys would beat Mayorga with a UD and Cotto probably KO with many bodyshots will make Mayorga too tired to go to the final rounds

Mayorga/Cotto would be a very fun fight to watch, but then again, any Mayorga fight is fun to watch because the guy is so wildly entertaining. Mayorga would absorb a lot of Cotto's punishment and most likely get stopped, but he would have more than a punchers chance because Cotto is there to be nailed and Mayorga's fighting style is like helicopter blades that chop you up and Cotto would eat his share of bombs as well and with his chin, well who knows.

It woud be be easy work for Cotto. It would be an INSULT to boxing if Floyd were to step in the ring with Mayo. Floyd doesnt need to go slummin like that.

Maybe Mayorga needs to switch to Marlboro Lights.

It might improve his chances at another title.

Why in the **** should he fight Spinks? He lost to him, Spinks is a division ABOVE the division that Mayorga wants to be in.

Mayorga fought the three biggest names that this generation had (excluding Mosley, which is still possible) and now he's got a DECENT win (regardless of how shot Vargas was/wasn't.. Mayorga was expected to lose, and dropped and beat the bigger man.) The fact is, if he fought a tune up at welterweight and then maybe Mosley to gage his imortance to the division.. I'd LOVE to see him against Cotto or Mayweather. He'd lose but it'd be fun.
