It's not about being disrespectful, it's about being unrealistic. Floyd is making claims that no fighter can honestly make. Ali got pilloried for making that claim at the time and quite right too. Claiming to be the best ever is poor sportsmanship. If you're the best ever then the accolade will be given to you in time. Greatest ever with 38 fights? Why?

Help me understand how he is disrespecting YOU AS A FAN by saying that he respects Ali, et al, but this is his time
I make you right m8...This is not just a comment to hype his fight with Hatton he is being dis-repectful to Boxers and boxing fans who love the sport..By trashing great boxers. I dont know why he does it, Yea he is a class fighter I wouldnt say anything dif but to make ****** comments like that would upsett most.

Because he gives Ali respect in one hand and takes it away with another, I have never said that Mayweather aint a class fighter, But until I see the greatness in him, I aint gonna call it any other way..Mayweather is a fighter who fights on the back foot mostly, That aint a sign of greatness thats a sign of and I quote "A business man" Stand and fight like a man he might get my respect aswell as others...He isnt even in the same class as Ali in or out the ring. Period thats M.O. I would even go as far to say that what Tyson did in boxing at his age was a true sign of greatness.Comment
