His fighter stayed calm, with a reported broken hand and finished the fight. All there is to is. People think a trainers excellence only shows when his fighters win. That's only HALF the battle. You can't fight FOR your fighter. When he gets good fighteers, willing to listen, they do very well.

I think fight going as long as it did caught Stewart off guard. I think everybody expect Cintron to have an easy night

people who dont even know his name is steward, not stewart, surely dont have the boxing knowledge to pass judgement.

I think stewart should have told him to box earlier on...

Saying that he would just tire himself out was a bad coaching move.. he could have had cintron knock feliciano out very convincingly ... but instead he got this alright stoppage.

Plus look what stewart has done to "Pat burns'" great fighter.....well thats of the past now because PB's lil boy might get knocked out in his rematch.
No one thought Feliciano could keep walking through the shots he got hit with time after time, it seemed it would be a matter of time. Maybe Manny realized then Cintron wasn't throwing his right because it was hurt.

There is NOTHING wrong with Emmanuel Steward, don't feed into the bull****, Manny makes Boxer's out of fighters, look at Cintron NOW as opposed to his Margarito days, BIG difference and it's due to the expertise of Steward, look at Wladimir Klitschko, that is Stewards doing, in my eyes Wladimir was so see threw that I actually picked Corrie Sanders to beat him, I told my father before the fight that he looks weak, he doesn't look like the man he has the potential to be, those were my words and look now, he went from weak in my eyes to the best current Heavyweight today, all DUE to Emmanuel Steward, there is NOTHING wrong with him, if anything the doubt should go into the fighter because his words during a fight are gems but not everybody knows how to deal with it, Kermit and Wladimir do though.. 100

Steward is still one of the best trainers in the business, he just had a man in Taylor that didn't follow his instructions. When you have as many fighters as Steward does Im sure your going to lose some and win some. IMO today Nacho Beristain is the best trainer in the business, he's made the Marquez brother's into offensive machines and Abner Mares looked good the other night. I like the style he's fighters have, which is a controlled brawler, with short and accurate punches.
