What about when Mayweather priced himself out in a fight in Manchester? when Mayweather wasn't even a big name, some people should go outside their country to fight
I had this argument along time ago with Sin, it was both sides fault for the fight not happening, who knows what happened behind the scenes, the main thing is now the fight has been made and I can't wait.

When was this? Mayweather has been a pretty big name for a while now. Long before Hatton was even a legitimate challenge. What about when Mayweather priced himself out in a fight in Manchester? when Mayweather wasn't even a big name, some people should go outside their country to fight

http://www.mirror.co.uk/archive/2005...9520-16388087/There is talk now of Mayweather demanding £12million ($25m) to face Hatton in Manchester, which illustrates just how much of a risk he thinks it is. He is absolutely right.
That was after the Maussa fight i think.Comment

To the guy who said Mausaa was a ***ING NOBODY when he fought Cotto, why dont you learn abot what your talking about before you make up lies and assme things and say them as if they are facts.
Maussa was actually suppose to be the next best thing out of Colombia going against the next best thing from Puerto Rico.
Maussa was 17-0 (16 KOs) and was coming off a huge upset KO win, that was televised on ESPN i believe, against undefeated prospect Jeffrey Resto.
Cotto-Maussa was suppose to be a very good fight. Cotto ended up just making Maussa foolish tho and exposing him for the bum he is. After that fight Maussa ended up losing to Arturo Morua, further proving that Maussa was nothing special. After that Maussa ***ing drops Harris and then runs over and hits the guy when hes laying down and suffers no penalty for it lol that was pretty ridiculous. I think Harris was done anyway, but the guy should have gotten some type of penalty.
Then Maussa was just some bum who won a title by luck and Hatton decided he would fight him. Everyone knew he was a bum, and so did Hatton and his camp. Im not hating on Hatton, but they knew that. I still dont understand why they took that fight.
Maussa and Urango are deffinately the two weakest 140 title holders i can think of recently. Urango didnt even deserve his belt at all either if you remember when he "won" it on ESPN.Comment
