David Diaz To Land Manny Pacquiao in March?

Why should ANYONE wait in line for Pacquiao? He's the bank at 130, but NOT the champion. Even in a system where we'd crown one champ per division - Pac isn't that guy. If anything, Marquez has a better argument in that regard.

People keep saying Marquez and Guzman should fight each other to decide who gets to fight Pacquiao. **** all that. Pac-JMM II would determine who is THE champ at 130 (because right now, nobody has a indisputable claim) and resolve a (come fight night) 4-year old score. It's the fight that has to happen at 130.

If Pac moves up to 135, even for 1 fight, to face David Diaz (who, personally, I think beats Pacquiao at that weight), and Marquez agrees to face Guzman, then Marquez-Guzman decides the 130 lb. champion as far as I'm concerned. Sure, that and $0.50 will get the winner a bag of chips. But it would put an end to the claim that Pacquiao is the 130 lb. champion.

All that said, if this fight (D.Diaz-Pac) does happen, it needs to land in Chicago (if only for my own selfish reasons)

Belts mean nothing to Pac.

And if we insist on your argument then Pac will simply throw your belts in your face and keep it. In his interviews Pac has made the impression that HE HAS COMPLETELY LOST RESPECT FOR BELTS.

He'll fight the man, belts can be shoved in the attic.

but to stay on topic, if pac elects to fight david diaz, a beltholder with virtually no clout in the 135lb class, then i agree with the other poster in saying that Guzman vs JMM should decide who is the king at 130, because as far as im concerned, neither of these guys should have to get in line for anything, both of these guys have quality wins that put them at the top of the division easily, not just fighting guys they have already beaten for the sake of excitement.

The problem is, they'll be gutting it out for less than half the money Pac will give them for their paydays.

That is why all these guys at 130-135 are going crazy over Pac. Coz he brings million dollar paydays which they won't get from other sources.

JMM made less k in his last fight than what Pac gets from his TUNE-UP FIGHTS.

Guzman makes far less.

They can fight each other yes. It is indeed a viable option. But eventually all of them WILL STILL WAIT IN LINE for Pac.
