not necessarily money, I think Floyd knew Oscar didn't wanna do business with Arum @ the time and he was looking to fight oscar. So he Floyd pretty much bought out his contract with Arum. Plus I think he wanted to promote himself.

I am lazy bear with me. Floyd feels he has been cheated by Arum and mispromoted for most of his career. He feels fights that he has garnered 3 mil from he should have recieved double that but didn't because Arum took a chunk of his earnings. Floyd believes fighters are the ones that put themselves on the line and Arum is taking advantage of them.

Floyd always says Mayweather promotions will give fighters the chance to be in the position where they will get the chunk of the profits but as long as they get to that position by winning e will do what's right. You also see all the trash between the two of them and you can tell it's not very friendly.
