Jesus Christ. Why is this even debated upon? Pacquiao has fans all over the world from Milan to Sudan and has a 100-Million fanbase in the Philippines WHERE EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM FROM A TO Z. No one, not even DLH can compare.

Let's be real, that WOULD NOT be possible. The most that would make is about the same number he made with hop, 1 mil.

Skils, name one other matchup that was promoted/marketed the way that Oscar/Floyd was.

Infamous, infamous and famous go hand in hand. You don't have to be liked to be known and garner attention. Even you know that.

Definitions of popular on the Web:

regarded with great favor, approval, or affection especially by the general public.

Does that sound like Floyd to you?

I agree. Famous he is. Popular he is not.

I think you are being a tad bit to specific with the actual wording of the thread. If you want to go with the technical wording of the thread than Pac man would get my vote for sure, if you mean FAMOUS, I would say Floyd.

None other, however, who's marketing scheme was it that shot the fight from a regular mega fight to the biggest fight in the history of the sport?

Why would i take it any different than the way he worded the thread? He asked "who is the most POPULAR fighter in boxing right now" Not: famous, infamous, notorious, etc.
