right now Taylor's pride is hurt like a mother****er, he even decided to put championships to the side and just make sure he is at his MOST comfortability, not only does he have ACTUAL experience against Pavlik he knows when he will be in a position to pay, he wont be so willing to sit up in them corners and strike back yo his initial reaction would be to move his ass out of there, Taylor was winning the fight yo when I hear People saying Pavlik won they be like "His face was even swelling up by the end of the first" and "eating jab after jab after jab while most of his shots were being blocked.", seems to me they were only watching 1 man fighting that night then because they overlooked Round 2, Round 5 and like 2 or 3 more that I can't recall right now, Pavlik was well enough behind that he needed to step it up, which he did..

thing is though Taylor can Box better than Pavlik it's just Kelly's longer arms combined with his great jab makes it hard on Taylor, Taylor just needs to move his head better and not just jerk his neck left to right, actually weave when he weaves, really bob when he bob's and basically repeat the last fight and go into counter punch city, people under estimate Jermain's power, even Pavlik slept on it cuz what he said at the interview? "the kid hits like a mule", not you tell me how much harder do you think this mule is going to come into the fight?

truth be told I fell under the impression that Taylor slept on Pavlik for a while, that once he stepped in front of him all that bull**** he was talking before the fight ****ed him up, he had no answers for Kelly regardless what they trained for because in the heat of the battle that **** flies out of the window when you hit with some **** you don't expect.. I say Jermain comes back twice as hard and if nothing else he will finish the fight on his feet, I think he learned from getting caught up in them ropes and even though he didn't switch up for "head"-hop he also wasn't made to pay for his mistakes, had he lost and had real adversity in front of him like he does with Kelly Pavlik, an undefeated, young, primed lion who's hunger is maxed out he would've had to come better in the rematch which I feel he will..

I don't expect y'all to read this all but read this though, Taylor paid a big price for engaging with the bigger man, at times he was supposed to Box Pavlik he moved straight back with no head movement and tried to hit Kelly while doing so, in turn allowing Pavlik's longer overhand the chance to land and due to his lack of good upper lateral movement he was hit with the shots that changed his momentum, add that to this fact that in round 2 he waisted so many punches and got too excited when he thought he had a beaten opponent in front of him. these are Ametuer mistake's and Taylor is no Ametuer, he CAN adapt it's just a shame he had to get KO'ed in a fight he was winning to be forced to do it.. I'm not saying Taylor is going to win, I may have found myself saying that in the past but Pavlik is a tough dude, I gotta re-analyze the 1st fight to say for sure who I pick BUT I'm just saying don't be so quick to throw Taylor out of the mix, Taylor is a beast too. 100

yo I go in depth with my opinions, I know I get carried away at times but it's up to you to read yo simple at that, you ain't even gotta read nor reply to it I'm just writing what I feel on the issue, if it takes 1 paragraph or 10 thats just what it is.. like I said in the end of my "article" I have to sleep on it a little bit more, I'm just basically trying to make Taylor a factor here because he IS one, he ain't no chump, he was winning the fight and doing very well so I'm just raising an argument for him, not to necessarily say I pick him but it's a piss off to see people not respect him and his chances when he was ahead in the fight, just my opinion though but I gotta sleep on it, ima give it a little more time before I lock in a vote..

        Toss up Fight

I am impressed with Pavliks power and resolve, but Taylor really had him out but could not finish... I think if Taylor uses his speed and remains under control, he might take Pavlik out.....

Taylor may have trained very hard for the 1st fight but he didnt look in great condition to me after his 2nd round assult he spent the next round trying to clinch at every available opurtunity ,when the fight got to the midway point he paid the price for carrying his hands so low & i think the main reason for that was that his reflexes had slowed down due to faitgue

some fighters just are'nt volume punchers [Chris Eubank/Jermain Taylor ]they like to control the pace of the fight & really struggle when they have to work at somebody else's pace Watson v Eubank 2 ,Calzaghe v Eubank ,Collins v Eubank ,Taylor V Ouma ,Pavlik,

People=me? Well, I did say Taylor won round 2 and 5 clearly and even went into details as to how 5 should be Taylor's blueprint for beating Pavlik; though I have my doubts as to if he can keep up that kind of workrate for a whole fight against Pavlik. Sorry, not sure what your getting at with this not so subtle "calling out."

It was a competitive fight but I would have a hard stretching some of these rounds into Taylor's favor. That would be biased. Taylor fights decent going backwards and he has the quicker hands, yet he still had a very hard time countering Pavlik and catching him coming forward. Meanwhile, Pavlik was landing all night and doing some serious damange. I will again say that Taylor fought well in 5 and 6(though he still got hammered in this one.), and it was a respectable performance from him.

It won't matter no how, Taylor is going to take the rematch no matter what.
