No I wasn't impressed by anything I saw from Hatton. Should I have been? The **** is just training he didn't do anything special neither did PBF.
Were you impressed by Ricky Hatton's training on 24/7?

I've never been impressed by Hatton (fighting, sparring, or training) They had this one drill where Ricky was coming foward evading punches (parries & head movement) while he was punching that was cool though. On the real All Hatton was doing was jumping foward and throwing WIDE LOOPING HOOKS, that Floyd will properly "Roll with the Punches" & counter Ricky str8 down the pipe! Hatton does not throw str8 punches & neglects his defense once he's in attack!
I wonder can Ricky fight backing up?????Comment

As expected I wasn't too impressed with 24/7 its just a sugar-coated documentary. The trainings nothing new from Hatton, but he's definitely got power in those body shots although its a big question as to whether he can get them to land cleanly against Mayweather. If he does, he'll be in with a chance, but judging by the Collazo fight he'll have trouble handling Mayweathers speed for the full 12 rounds. I'm aware of the arguments surrounding his condition for that fight and I guess we'll find out whether or not it's true this time around.
I'd agree that Hattons most favoured strategy is to rush opponents, clinch and work on the inside but he does have skills which ultimately help him achieve the placement and position he needs to do that. I remember seeing an interview where he actually describes this tactic among others, check it here.Comment

you both seem pretty cool! unfortunately ive had the opposite experience tho, i used to post all the time on another forum full of PRO hatton fans from the UK and they were all for the most part racist and even racist against me and pretty much HATED on me as well. but its good to see that not all UK peeps are like that and some are def more educated than others!yeah the fact he's black means nothing its more to do with the fact he's an arrogant man with a serious attitude problem. plus the fact that ricky is such a down to earth guy. im from birmingham in england and i'd say manchester and birmingham are about the same in terms of socio-economic status.... like feed-the-goat says theres rough parts and nice areas too... but i can imagine billy grahams part of town was one of the rougher areasComment

id rather not say bro, but im pretty sure you can figure it out if u do post on other forums. this forum is extremely BIASED so if u dont worship the fighters that the mods worship then they pretty much ban you ahahha. plus they are racist and 1/2 the mods on that forum on loser douche bags who if you disagree with on anything they will hold grudges against you until they ban you. everyones pretty gay on there.Comment

Not impressed. Then again, I'm not much of a Hatton fan. He throws wild looping punches and doesnt have much in terms of defense. I think he's vastly overrated and Floyd is going to give him the boxing lesson of a lifetime, sidestepping and countering Hatton for 12 rounds.
Ricky leaves himself vulnerable when he goes to his opponent's body. Floyd's faster hands and straighter, crisper punches will be taggin Ricky's face all night long. Not to mention his movement.. Ricky will have a tough time trying to cut off the ring..
Yall saw what Collazo did to Hatton.. PBF will make it look much worse..Last edited by TooSlick; 11-20-2007, 03:34 PM.Comment
