Amen brother, PAC has alot more options , jmm is running out of time at 34 years of age. JMM needs to bow down, he simply doesn't have leverage in these negotiations !! Unless, jmm goes up to 135 and starts to make some major noise amongst the top tier 135lbers.

Arum already laid out his plans for PAC,and it doesn't include jmm in the near future. Unless PAC is adamant on wanting a rematch with jmm as his first fight in '08.

Screw JMM if he thinks he can pull this purse BS. Pacman has a lot of other options... bigger paydays in fact.. Pac doesn't need JMM. JMM needs Pac!

man to man Pacman needs Marquez, he left a crevice in Manny's legacy, anybody can say Marquez won the fight and that Manny just got lucky that he caught Marquez pretty good because Marquez couldn't find his rhythm early on and that all it took was 1 round for Marquez to break down Manny, I don't think a dude with as much pride as Manny can live with that.. something like Jermain Taylor and Kelly Pavlik and Joe Louis and Max Schmeling accept in Manny's case is worse because with those 4 I named there were winner decided and Manny couldn't defeat Marquez despite them 3 knockdowns, you gotta give JMM some man to man credit and Manny got pride..

on the other hand thats not to say I agree, JMM got caught, plain and simple he fell down due to good shots and allowed himself to be put in a position where he could only gain a draw, plain and simple, simple and plain BUT people do talk right? people are pushing for Marquez-Pacquiao right? that can't be helped until you can shut someone up and how you supposed to shut up the majority of the Boxing world? you can't, I'm not saying I agree, I think they SHOULD fight not that they HAVE to fight, I think the 1st fight was too good to leave that doubt, this can be a great trilogy.. 100

The specifics of the so-called concessions are important. It could very well be that from Marquez (as defending champ) demanding 70% moving down to 60% or even 50%. If that is so, it's not much. Pacquiao draws around 80% of the PPV and arena seats. Why should he get less than half or only half the money?

If the concessions include the specification that Pacquiao will get most of the money (purse + PPV shares, etc.), then no reason why the fight should not be made.

I am among those who are agog over the idea of a rematch, but I don't like it enough to let Pacquiao's interests and bargaining position be detrimented. Pacquiao has earned his right to call the shots and he should be allowed to exercise that right. That right did not come easy.

Just a point addressed to the writer, Mr. Nathanielz: I do not know that Pacquiao ever made "excuses". He has always said it's a matter of...to use his own words, "If the price is right." That to me can not be considered an excuse. It is in all respects what is called a "pre-requisite" or a "pre-condition".

what??? pac needs jmm desperately imo. he was decisively outclassed in their first fight with jmm under-estimating pacs power in the first 2 rounds. if this fight doesn't go down then it puts serious question marks over pac.... or maybe he's waiting for jmm to turn 40 so he can beat up on another old mexican

in a way, i can kind of see where JMM is coming from since he basically has had to concede **** his whole career and be screwed out of bigger purses, but he needs to realize that in reality if he doesnt hurry up and just concede to pac's demands, hell never get what hes aiming for in the end.

LoL buddy you and Mr Nathanielz should meet up in Manila and give him some advice.

The reason also why GBP is pushing for JMM is because they stand to earn more than having David Diaz as Pac's next opponent. Since JMM is GBP they can co-promote while Diaz is also Top Rank wherein they will just get a small fraction of the profit.
