Yes, technically, Bernard lost twice to Jermaine but at least we can name legitimate fighters that Bernard has fought.

Whoever Bernard fights its going to be a PPV, thats what people dont get, hes a PPV fighter. Joe can fight Bernard on PPV and make some money, or stay fighting bums on HBO championship boxing or whatever padding his record. Joe needs Bernard for a PPV fight, which is why the 60/40 cut makes sense, but as can be seen his team wants no part of it.

Hopkins can take the fight and get slapped to death, or he can let one of the great fighters of our era pass him by. He's in no position to bargain, his career took too big a hit when he lost two fights to a mediocre middleweight, and no fight against Tarver or a puffed up Winky can change that.
How the hell is he in no position to bargain when he's the recognized champ at 175 and is ranked higher than calzaghe (on most reputed boxing p4p lists)??..not to mention calzaghe is closer to 40 than 30 (if you want to discuss age) and has NEVER fought at 175lbs or in the US (that Im aware of). That stmt is utterly ridiculous. You say his career took a hit b/c because he lost two HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL decisions to taylor which again is proposterous. If that was the case, how would you explain the CURRENT p4p rankings where he's still in the top 5 or 6 boxers active today (where is taylor on that list??..exactly). If anythang, his career has underwent a resurgence. Calzaghe is or was calling him out; therefore, how is B-hop this bum who's supposedly "over the hill". You all have it f!cked up. Hopkins may not be a pleasure for most boxing fans to watch but he's still one of the best tactians in the sport..and mark my words..if the the fight gets made...he'll be a much tougher opponent for joe c than eubanks, lacy, or kessler were..simply b/c of the mental approach he takes to fighting (not to mention..he's always in good physical condition).

Calzaghe needs Hopkins more then Hopkins need Calzaghe. Its obvious that all the "back and fort" media reports is a public purse negotiation

wank warren will get calzaghe fighting another nobody! but if he does fight pavlik expect a dominant performance similar to the lacy one! and the hopkins fight will be a slopfest with calzaghe winning by great margins

would calzaghe stay at 168 for a Pavlik or Abraham? I don't think Pavlik nor Abraham woudl goto 175 to meet Calzaghe

hahahaha I agree. A fight with Woods would be a waste of time for Calzaghe he wants to go out with a **** and that means big fights, not fights Woods who was dominated by Roy Jones.

I can't see Pavlik beating Joe, Joe would have had him out of there in round two. While Taylor had him going he blew his load, can you imagine how many times Joe would have hit him in that spell!?. Also as has been said Joe is suddenly seen as some kind of non-puncher, he hits or if your a hater slaps rather hard! he preserves his hands these days, but he hurts every fighter he has faced that I can remember. Apart from Bika, you could shoot that guy in the face and he'd still be coming at you. Also Joe is possibly stronger. Pavlik has the power to knock anyone from 160-175 out though soo............
Pavlik has the standard punchers chance.

I'd put all the stuff I own admittedly not much on JC winning this most likely by UD

as much as i like pavlik and think he's great, he isnt ready for a calzaghe fight. i truely think that calzaghe needs to fight hopkins, fight someone with the same amount of experience and basically the same track record with the title defenses.

calzaghe taking on someone like pavlik goes with his standard of fighting guys that arent' ready for him yet, even though hopkins is old, their both on the same page, something calzaghe and hopkins both needs to do once and for all.

pavlik needs a few more fights with guy that have fast hands and good footwork before he fights calzaghe...............
