Klitschko-Ibragimov unification to be official soon

In a recent article a reliable ukranian sports website reported that the contracts for the unification bout between Wladimir Klitscgko and Sultan Ibragimov are to be singed this week, Shlly Finkel Klitschko advisor provided this information

Контракт на об'єднавчий двобій між чемпіоном світу за версією IBF/IBO українцем Володимиром Кличком і чемпіоном світу за версією WBO росіянином Султаном Ібрагімовим, намічений на 23 лютого 2008 року, буде підписаний у найближчі дні.
Про це "Газеті.Ru заявив менеджер українського боксера Шеллі Фінкель, спростувавши також повідомлення в ЗМІ про те, що контракт на даний бій був підписаний на минулому тижні.

I agree, but I would still make Imbragimov a huge underdog at this point. Klitschko is in a zone right now.

I think if negotiations have gotten this far Im sure it will get finalized, but what I couldnt understand is the Tonny the tiger situation cause as fas as I know hes the mndatory for Iggy next, I think they are going to pay him some money in order for the fight to come off. Lets say this fight gets made then we have Thompson wbo mandatory and the winner of Chambers Povetkin waiting to fight Wlad if he wins? How is all that going to work out?

Worst comes to worst, the winner will just drop one of the belts and move on to fight another title holder. Belts will not mean **** at that point.

If Wlad vs. Ibragimov happens in February, and Chambers-Povetkin in January-February, they'll just pay Thompson-the-boring-tiger to step aside and forget about him. Wlad vs. Povetkin would be absolutely huge in Germany, while Wlad vs. Thompson would be... boring anywhere.
