De La Hoya, Baldomir, and Zab Judah were all serious Champs. Well technically Zab Judah wasn't really a champ since he lost recently, but he was still a great fighter.

Baldomir was the real champion of the divison. I don't care if he beat a "Off night" Judah or whatever. He was still pretty good anyway. People really underestimate him.

De la hoya was still pretty good too. I don't say people way he said he's old. He looked great against Mayorga and looked good, but gassed out, against Floyd. Was it because he got knocked out? He got knocked out to BERNARD HOPKINS. Bernard Hopkins was the best middleweight of this era (cept Jones, who didn't really stay there so can't be considered it) and one of the best Middles of all time anyway.

140 wasn't really impressive to be honest, but he became a PPV star and gave us some entertaining fights so I can't say much.

140 wasnt impressive because of the situation that was going on with the people at that weight, cotto had barely made a mark on the division at that time, tszyu had just lost to hatton, hatton wanted no part of a unification fight, basically forcing him to move up and try for the unification fight with zab.

Its weird because welterweight has only stacked up within the last year or so, because i can remember 2 years ago almost when the only elites in the division were Zab, Spinks, Margarito and thats about it. Now you have all kinds of people vying for the top spot.

This fight against hatton should have happened at 140 and right after floyd desteroyed gatti and hatton made tszyu quit, Hatton would have been at his best weight, and floyd would have been coming off the biggest exposure fight of his career. Im still pretty dissapointed that hatton and his team waited this long to get it off for the sake of garbage fights that didint boost his popularity at all.

Hatton in the long run made the right choice, he is still undefeated and I KNOW he wouln't have made 10mil if they fought in 05-06.

Look man, If you want to walk around thinking mayweather could beat hearns, Leonard, Duran, or any other ATG from 140 to 154 thats fine, but i choose to be realistic in my opinions.

Mayweather is a defensive fighter that lacks any real threat offensively against quality competition.

sure he can beat a Gatti or N'dou up, but what quality fighter has he ever actually beat up since leaving 135, which is where all his fame is comming from.

Plain and simple- he is a cherry picking fraud. he is no ATG and he never will be- he won't reach Pea's level even, much less a true ATG status.

He is already in his 30's and hasn't fought a serious champ since dominating a weak 130lb division.

Fact is, his fans are as delusional as he is and they are only able to talk trash because he has refused to put up or shut up- thats the truth!
Thank you for not responding to any of my questions or comments and proving that your opinion is fairly worthless.

Why exactly are we demeaning him for not being able to beat guys that are considered some of the greatest fighters of all time that were MUCH bigger than him? Why don't we compare him to some of the best fighters in history at 130 and 135?

If we did that, we'd have to match him up against Duran....

I'm a fan of Floyd, but....

duran is one of the only 135lbers who could beat him decisively.

lol, Pryor would have destroyed mayweather aswell! If i had the time to dig up all the greats between 130 and 140, i'm sure there are many that would utterly destroy Mayweather, but off the top of my head?

Mosley would have crushed him at 135.

some names that would have been a stretch for mayweather to beat are as follows:

                benny Leonard
                Carlos ortiz
                Joe Gans
                Ike Williams

truth be told Mayweather is maybe not even top ten ATG at lightweight, much less overall!

How could you ever compare the TWO? This is crazy

Leonard is a true warrior who never used his draw power to tilt every detail in a fight in his favor.

Leonard is a true warrior who immediately rematched Hagler, Hearns, Duran as he beat them.

Compare with Mayweather forcing his hand against De La Hoya to get a bigger ring and so on.

Or look at the coward not giving a rematch to Castillo.

Yes you ppl are right, Mayweather should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Leonard.

arguello held his own against Pryor. What else needs to be said.

Like i said there are many that would thrash Mayweather when u get down to it.
