Leonard himself said the fight was to risky for him. He saw Pryor as someone as just to hungry to face because Pryor always fought just to prove he belonged. He said Pryor is the hungriest fighter he would have ever faced.

nice selective history except.... leonard beat Hearns in their prime-both were in their prime!

He avoided Hagler-thats true, but in the end he ran his ass off and beat a true ATG- mayweather hasn't even faced an ATG.

Why doesn't he try Hopkins on for size-Hopkins isn't an ATG either IMHO, but he is close enough.

Mayweather pales when shoulder to shoulder with true greats-thats a fact!

Easton, why would you even ask a dumb question like who on Floyd's resume could people see beating Leondard? Um, I don't think any 130, 135, 140 pounders in any era would beat him. None of the WW's that Floyd has fought would either, but then again, Floyd handled them easily too. DLH is the only fighter that is even comparable and even he started much lower than SRL. So why are we comparing a guy who started at 130 to a guy that started at 147?

You said earlier that Floyd hadn't done anything since Lightweight. Please indulge us to what Leonard did after he left Welterweight. He won a VERY controversial decision over Hagler (which I take nothing away from him for that, it was a great fight). Other than that, what is there to brag about?

I'm not trying to tear Leonard down, but at least have a good argument if you're gonna bash someone else. Don't use double standards.

Besides Floyd has a very good resume for nowadays anyway. The only thing he didn't really do is fight Kostya Tszyu, who he called out before so you couldn't say he ducked him.

It is said Leonard moved up because Pryor was in the 140 pound division in the Am's. I can't confirm this though.

First of all i took for granted we were talking about guys in or near weight divisions. ofcourse that requires one to use common sense, so again, sorry for not pointing out the obvious.

Look man, If you want to walk around thinking mayweather could beat hearns, Leonard, Duran, or any other ATG from 140 to 154 thats fine, but i choose to be realistic in my opinions.

Mayweather is a defensive fighter that lacks any real threat offensively against quality competition.

sure he can beat a Gatti or N'dou up, but what quality fighter has he ever actually beat up since leaving 135, which is where all his fame is comming from.

Plain and simple- he is a cherry picking fraud. he is no ATG and he never will be- he won't reach Pea's level even, much less a true ATG status.

He is already in his 30's and hasn't fought a serious champ since dominating a weak 130lb division.

Fact is, his fans are as delusional as he is and they are only able to talk trash because he has refused to put up or shut up- thats the truth!

                      There's no comparison:

Leonard could box, punch (power in both hands), had a rock solid chin, great defense, great offense, faced the best (exception of Aaron Pryor) and beat the best.

Mayweather has maybe 2 or 3 of those qualities I just listed and hasn't fought an ATG
