I dont care what Floyd says or does outside of the ring or any fighter for that matter , this is not a popularity contest Im a fan of boxing , inside the ring Floyd Mayweather is a boxing genius and if you cant see that you dont know boxing , go through the thread the other day about how long have you been a fan of boxing and you will see his haters have followed the sport a short while , the newbies dont appreciate skills they just look to meatheads beating on each other caveman style , whether a style is good or not is answered in the win column and it looks to me like Floyd style wins a lot of fights at the big meets , must have something going for it .

Actually I am , I just dont go along with the media and its hollywood production tactics , Ive seen thread after thread quoting articles written all with a different twist from the same quotes , Floyd says something in answering a question and it appears 50 different ways all with a big story attached ,,, if you have ever have anything to with the media you will find out they are biggest **** stirring bull****ers that ever walked , most journos have low scruples and dont care in the least about whos life they are ****ing up ,,, my personal opinion is Floyd is young and famous and the media goad him into being the brat , you got some **** writer that dont know **** from clay asking him ****** questions 24/7 and Floyd being as immature as he is is just feeding them with what they want , there are two sides to Floyd , the brat the media love and the side that the people close to him know and they sing a different tune than what you guys feed off ,, I take it all with a grain of salt , the guy is a wonderful boxer one of the best I have seen in 40 years of watching boxing and thats all I care about .

People hate Mayweather because.. ONE: He's a ****y bastard.

And TWO: Most simple-minded people hate on someone when they are on top. People love to see you make it and once you do, they love to see you fall from the top. People actually search for someone to be bable to allow that to happen, too. It's sad, but it's human nature. You can only deserve success, never attain it unless you want hate. But hate's good. If you don't have haters, you're not doing something right.

Also, they also hate him because he's better than they're favorite fighter, and it might piss them off.

This isn't to defend Mayweather.. you can basically replace him with any p4p champ that was ****y. Pernell, Jones, even Hopkins to a certain extent.

I myself don't have much of a problem with anything Mayweather has said or could say in the future, it's the role he wants to play. However, what can get to me sometimes are hordes of people swinging so hard from his nuts they claim no boxer is good enough to step into the ring with him. They would have you believe Floyd is soo damn good Roberto Duran could only have hoped to be his waterboy, without having watched a single fight older than say... Gatti-Mayweather. That's what gets old.
