larry merchant thinks that anybody the presses the action should get the round,he's big advocate of cotto in general but when you press the action and the guy your chasing lands better shots than you i don't know how the hell you can say that fight was a draw.

Crillz....one thing for sure...Cotto did not show ring generalship especially after round 5. What he did show was great great counter punching abilility, and one thing that I am impressed with by him and strong very strong will power. If you look outside of rounds 9 and 10,, many times when Mosley would have him against the ropes cotto would tie him up and spin him,,and they would both grapple to ensure the others backs was against the ropes..Little things like that I am impressed with...If people dont think that is important Ask Leonard about how to lose a close fight when because your back is on the ropes, even if your landing great shots.
Cotto did show great versatility, but that doesnt necessarily mean he won. Which I am not arguing, I simply see it that Mosley won BARELY.. as coming down the stretch they both were landing great shots back and forth, but Mosely was controlling the ring generalship part and aggression. We all know Cotto can be very very aggressive and to win this fight fighting in that manner shows a lot of greatness for Cotto, but I still have it Mosley by the slimmest of Margins. If it wasnt for Mayweather lurking out there, I would want to see a rematch,but if Mayweather beats Hatton, the I want to see this Mayweather Cotto. That fight IMO is a clear win for Mayweather, unless Cotto flat out comes to brawl, and hits mayweather everwhere arms, sholders, kneck, low..whatever and is the aggessor...None of that nice stuff with mayweather as he has not chance in a boxing match with Mayweather. Those jabs that hit Mosley, were great, and he needs to keep working on that, as DLH has some success with jabs vs Mayweathr......The more and more I think about it...Cotto if he comes to fight and simply makes up his mind that he will cut off the ring and not follow Mayweather, he has a great great chance if he utilizes the jab too.
Once person that Mayweather has no chance at beating simply becasue of styles is Williams,,Mayweather is not the type of fighter that wil make it a war, which he has to to beat the much taller , ACTIVE, fighter. Cotto to me has the style to beat a Paul Wlliams..As for Margeria...he is a bum....He is the only fighter in history to get beat out of division and go down to a lower division.... Then lose when he had his chance. Mayweather was right, who the hell has Margerito beat...He is product of myth....what a bum.Comment

What fight are you all talking about...Mosley landed just as good as he got. His over hand rights were landing all night long...Cotto jab right and hook were landing too. but Mosley landed more power shots, Cotto landed more jabs..and they both landed great shots...It was Mosley who backed up Cotto several times later in the fight. I am not taking from Cotto performance, but get it right....Comment

The punch state shows Mosley landed more power shots, If you look at the fight you will see who was getting forced back to the ropes...Rounds 9 and 10 shows Mosley really landing big shots.....
The fight also shows Cott landing GREAT GREAT jabs and hooks and rights..No doubt about it Cotto was putting some hurt on mosley, but it was both of them,,,not just Cotto.Comment
