I don't believe that. Floyd's been hurt before and stayed on his feet. He's fought with a ****ed hand before as well. Floyd is more defensive than Roy so I doubt he'd ever get caught like him. Getting knocked out(in reference to Jones) means you have a bad chin. Anyone can get caught.

All I'm saying is there is a reason why Floyd fights the way he does.

A true fighter of substance fights like Mosley or Cotto. A fighter that doesn't value others and only cares about himself (aka egomaniac) fights like Mayweather.

      it's simple, really.

Mayweather is hiding a glass chin. Alot like Roy Jones did with his crappy style when he moved up to 175.

How he can fight the way he does and call himself 'exciting' is beyond me. If it wasn't for the undefeated record (american's love undefeated records) he wouldn't be making any money. He owes alot of his career to the judges when he fought Castillo the 1st time.

We saw Mosley **** and box. He wasn't fighting in spurts like Mayweather. Mayweather is always purely on the defensive. Not always on his bike but always defensive. A true counterpuncher.

No way he would ever stand and trade with a fighter like Mosley. He's hiding a chin. It must be a monster handicap.
He's been hit with some good punches in the past and took them well. DLH hit him with some good punches, including a right hand-left hook combination toward the end of the 12th and he wasn't fazed. Why would you even mention Mosley? Sugar Shane's best asset was his speed. Now that he's lost quite a bit of speed, his punches don't really have the same effect.

Also, you couldn't have actually watched Floyd at 130 if you're trying to say he didn't stand and trade. Of course he avoided punches as much as possible while throwing, but he was right in front of his opponent bombing away.

Or he just likes being defensive?

I mean I don't consider people like Hopkins or Winky to have bad chins and they are defensive pros like Mayweather.

I just watched Corrales - Mayweather. It was a one sided drubbing but he was on the backfoot the entire foot.

But hey guess what? You don't have to be going foward the whole fight to win? You can be agressive, then back up and get out of the way.

Winky stands and fights. Hopkins runs but engages.

                Mayweathe does neither.

If you think Hopkins is more entertaining than Floyd, then you have a strange definition of entertainment. I like Hopkins as a fighter, mostly because I appreciate all the little things he does to win fights, but he is boring as ****.

Beleive it or not, I find Mayweather somewhat entertaining when provided with the right opponent.

But his last few bouts have been less then stellar.

And I dont think Hopkins is more entertaining. I have never thought he was entertaining, but he does engage.

I think Floyd just fights the way he does. No one has kd'd him or hurt him so bad yet to warrant the thought he's got a bad chin.
