Floyd's hiding a chin....

The general public prefer to see fighters who go toe-to-toe and can provide drama. Floyd is great for the purists but not so appealing to the casual fan.Comment

You're making assumptions and trying to pass it off as fact. He's undefeated and the best fighter in the sport, so why do you and others try to convince his fans that he should be like "other" fighters? Perhaps you should be trying to convince your favorite fighters to be more like Floyd. If he's good enough to easily win fights without "taking risks" then why would he?
There is no doubt that Floyd will always dance for the decision if given the chance. He will avoid toe to toe combat unless he is absolutely sure that it is safe to move in for the kill (very rare after the close call with Castillo). You can say this is a simple business decision (hooray). But, if he wasn't concerned about his ability to take a punch then why then wouldn't he want to put on a show and enhance his reputation? Dancing for a decision in a few fights is excusable, but doing it for the majority of his career is ample evidence to rely upon for the observation that he may be concerned about the quality of his chin.Comment

Why dont you join the conversation with some legitimate opinions instead of parroting p4p nonsense over and over again. Maybe say my assumptions are wrong, because....Comment

If we were talking about a fighter that you simply weren't in love with, your position would be diametrically opposite. I think you're a hypocrite.

Secondly, a fighters career isn't defined by his last 2 fights.
Enhance his reputation? What fighter in the sport is selling more PPV's outside of the Golden Boy? What fighter in the sport is more talked about on these forums? What fighter in the sport is on more radio shows and television shows consistently? There aren't many if any.Comment

Your assumptions are wrong based on the fact that the only fighters he hasn't engaged have been his last 2 opponents. Both were bigger and stronger than he was. Perhaps you want an example? Mayorga is credited for a having a very solid chin. He was TKO'd by DLH. Why would anyone let DLH have a better chance of KOing them by trading? Maybe its not that he has a weak chin, but that his opponents only chance to beat him was to KO him.But of course you haters have to jump in and say its because he's got a weak chin with nothing to back it up but your assumptions.Comment

First of all *******, I appreciate all boxers with defensive skills. Hopkins, Jones Jr, Malignaggi, Toney, and the list goes on, so no I'm not a hypocrite. And even if someone would have a basis to call me a hypocrite it certaintly wouldn't be you. I've already proved in the past what a hypocrite you are.

Ok, fine. You're not a hypocrite. You are the only person in the world that thinks boxing is not a contact sport. You would pay big money to watch Corey Spinks and Floyd dance around and smile at each other and collect their money while giving the middle finger to the fans. I'm happy for you.
You want to attack the assertion that Floyd could be insecure about his chin? Hey man, any reasonable person in the world could make that observation. And, guess what? You, in all your infinite boxing wisdom, do not know the answer either. Maybe he's concerned about his chin, maybe it's intentional boxing artistry. Your opinion is just as assumptive as mine is.Comment
