The clinching doesn't help boxing either. Nobody wants to see 2 guys hug for 12 rounds.

True, true, true. As my sig says; "I am not an expert, I am a fan". One of the main reasons I appreciate fights like DLH-Trinidad, and Cotto-Mosley. There is a point one defensive strategy, including running a little. I remember a Julio Cesar Chavez fight that he was losing by a wide margin. I don't remember his opponent, but the dude fought during the 12 round and got KO. All he had to do was run. He had the fight. But just when they hold ech other like dancing to a ballad, I hate the run without a hit. That's why I see DLH losing and Cotto had the 11th round on his favor, hit and run. Anyway, it's not always a slug fest, but we all love to see those fights like Pantera, Mayorga, Margarito bring to the table. We need to keep 3-4 major belts and have free cable bouts. You are all right about that.

Dog i'm talkin bout big personality. The Ali in your face type personality and Floyd's been backin it up too. If your like that mexican dude i think Vargas and talk some **** but lose then no one cares. Yea guys doin dancin wit the stars is part of it to appeal to the mainstream of America, or maybe another Tyson to spur things up. A quiet guy who rips people to shreads, it's a lack of talent though is what i'm sayin. Roy Jones Jr., Lennox Lewis.......

Im done with caring If Espn covers boxing or not, I dont even watch ESPN unelss its the contender or FNF's..If I need news about boxing I read ********* or this site is updated pretty much all the time. If I want to watch weigh ins or watch interviews this site has great videos.

If a fight isnt being shown on TV I can ussually stream it or download it about 1 hour after its done. Im watching more boxing now then Ive seen any other time in my life. And im loving it!!! Before the Internet I dident even know about all the great fights that go on around the world.

The internet is the future anyways, Yahoo has a great boxing page and even streamed live fights last saturday. Boxing will never reach what it once was, but no other sport has ever reached what boxing was besides football around the world.

To answer your question, the media ignores boxing. Its only here in the US, Ive been to Mexico and boxing is on the front page when a big fight is going to happen.
